That's a sign of burnout. Jaynes just needs to untie the anchor rope on his houseboat and float out to the Pacific...

Does Martell bounce around or is he destined for Europe/retirement?

Hmm, maybe BFW will have to go into hiding. Might the 7 day waiver period be accurate but the offer sheet can be submitted earlier because the contract won't actually be entered until after the waiver period expires?

The problem isn't with Minny fans, it's with Portland's own media. The "journalists" here like Dwight Jaynes and John Canzano are the worst in the nation. Every one of them is actually an enemy of the team, spinning any and all positive Blazers news as negative as possible, and delighting in making Portland fans look stupid. So Dwight Jaynes will never let BFW live this down if he's even an iota wrong, because Dwight Jaynes is a flaming asshole.

Why do you think we were so impervious to the trolls? Our own local media trolls us all the fucking time.

Maybe BFW will have to be exiled where Portlanders go to rot (aka Minnesota)

Does anyone know if there are penalties for signing a contract with cap space you don't have? In the sense that if the Twolves don't have the cap space, and they extend him an offer, can Portland go

    "ok, sign it then. Today"

knowing full well they don't have the space to sign him? Are the limits to the offer sheets?

    Man, I leave for 2 hrs... :)

Did I miss something where Webster was waived and Kahn immediately sent in the "I'm serious!" offer sheet? What's he waiting on? Could it be clearing waivers? And afaik, Webster only brings them to 10.1, so there's not 4/46.5M offer.

Again, I'll stand by until I see differently. In the words of a distinguished poster:

    Not.

    Swayed.

In a few months I'll be in Afghanistan for a year. Jaynes doesn't "move the needle" in my world.

LOL, this doesn't add up. What? They traded Miller and TWO 2nd round picks to NO for ONE conditional 2nd round pick.

So Minny gets out from Millers full contract immediately. Do they have enough cap space to offer Batum $46.5M now?

They have to get something back, and NO wants more than Brad Miller, so they get BM and a net +1 2nd round pick for taking on salary and then waiving Brad Miller.

The upshot is Minny don't have to wait on BM's waiver clearing.
