I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say he won't amount to anything in the NBA. He wouldn't be able to score in the NBA, lacks too much athleticism.

Papanikolaou seems to only have decent athleticism once he gets going full speed. Reminds me of Rudy, but probably not as athletic as Rudy. He severely lacks explosiveness without a head of steam.

I really, really want him on the team; Mike Rice is going to be so goddamned funny this year trying to say all these names (Lillard, Leonard, Papanikolaou, Claver ...) it's gonna be great.

DeMarcus Aldridge was my favorite blip of his last year.

Maybe you should change your user-name to Kostas Cub.

I'm still not sure why we did this deal unless it is either a part of a bigger deal, or it was purely to dump Kurts contract.

Maybe to open a roster spot at Center (without having to buy out Thomas) so that we can sign Joel to the minimum to be the elder center?

I gave bum gouge before. Coon says new CBA lets you package S&T players now. So we "could" send Ray at 3/10 S&T and Thomas for Gadzuric and, say, 3/10 Jeffries (only 1st yr guaranteed).

So it could end up being Felton and Thomas for Jeffries (bought out?), Gadzuric (non-guaranteed), Papanikoulou, 2nd and enough cash for Jeffries' salary.

Let this marinate for a second or two people ... Raymond Failton is actually going to be used to acquire a player that may actually be marginally useful on an NBA roster. Anybody think that would have been possible in the depths of February?

Sure. Last year was a train wreck for Portland and for most of its players. It's not shocking that the Knicks think it was an outlier and Felton will bounce back.

(He is ball-shaped, after all, so it should be easier to bounce back.)

Ole trying to look busy without doing anything meaningful. I should have known better than to have a tiny shred of optimism about this guy.

Ok, so what exactly did this gain us? I thought we were clearing some space, but we got Jefferies back who earns more than Thomas this year. A 2nd round pick in 2016? Why are the Blazers interested in this Papaulkuioiouo when they already have Freeland and Claver?
