You didn't "disagree", you disagreed and insulted me - and have continued on in this vane. You think Babbitt is fantastic, or at least a "B", fine. But everyone disagrees with you, so you insult everyone and go into every thread and tried to turn it into a pseudo-debate about Babbitt.

    My grades:

Lillard - A. Showed me exactly what I thought he would, and his game looks like it will translate perfectly to the regular season when he's in the starting lineup with Aldridge, Batum and Matthews.

Smith - B+. Showed how much better he is when he's aggressive, and finished strong through contact multiple times. He's definitely better as a secondary ball handler, but should be fine in 10 to 15 minutes a game as PG.

Leonard - B. He was pretty much what I expected, but I was a little disappointed with his defense.

Barton - B. When he wasn't playing well offensively, to me it seemed like it was primarily nerves. Once he got settled, I liked his offensive moves and his decision making was superb. His defense was consistently good. Some players may take advantage of his lack of strength, but he plays the passing lanes well and has good instincts.

Babbitt - C. This grade largely has to do with him not showing he has added absolutely nothing to his game. Yes, in the regular season, he is pretty much strictly a three point shooter (which he was terrible at in SL), but you'd think he would be able to show at least some improvement on offense or defense, which he did not. On a lot of defensive possessions, I would only watch him, and he was terrible. Doesn't hustle to make up for his lack of defensive prowess.

Let's recap here. I disagree about Babbitt's grade, since it was far lower than anybody else listed, and immediately had two posters blame me of making the thread about me.

    Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy...

that's just obvious baiting. Babbitt's actual statistics and +/- should call the entire grading system in this thread into question, at least in terms of him being graded by far the worst player this summer. Illustrating those stats really has nothing to do with me.

Saying "Useless thread" made you this upset? Sorry, but you offered your grades, and I found your grade of Babbitt laughable. Grading him by far the worst player this summer makes this a "Useless Thread", in my opinion. Nobody asked you to start this thread, did they?

It's YOUR thread. Own it, and stop whining when people disagree with you. Argue statistically, at the very least.

I'll also add that I've never really cared what "everyone" thinks, and "everyone" certainly doesn't comprise of the 25 or so regular posters on this forum.

Babbitt shot 43% from 3 last year. I'll take that off of the bench, and when he averages 7.3rpg for a 3-1 summer league team in 30mpg, I'll take that as well.

Why not just say, "I disagree with your views about Babbitt and here is why..."

Saying the entire thread is useless because you disagree with his opinions about one player seems a bit over the top.

Then edit me, Sly. It's not like I've every had the "Useless thread" or "Useless Post" insult directed at me.

But, thanks for now making the thread officially about me. Kindly go away, please.

How many times do I have to post Babbitt's stats this summer, or last season?

This fucking board ... and Sly is becoming one of the biggest trolls of all.

May as well change the title of this thread to "Get In Your Shots at Me" at this point.

Thanks to VG and RHR for making this thread about me, fwiw. I'm outta this thread.

I guess it's not a great spot to be in on a BLAZER BOARD defending a current member of the Blazer roster, and one who shot the 3 better than anybody else on the team last season, or for the last how many seasons?

Notice I'm not the one bashing any current Blazer in any thread. That makes me a troll and making it all about me these days.

Babbitt was last year, and will be again this year, a Blazer. If the entire next season is spent arguing about Luke Babbitt's 15 mpg off the bench, I'm outta here.

I think it is fair to judge Babbitt differently than the other players because he's going into his third year. I think I have defended him more than anyone on this board, even when he was afraid of his own shadow and playing horribly. I expected more from him in Vegas. I was hoping the D-League All Star Luke Babbitt would show up to Summer League, but he only played OK. The last game he played was pretty damn good actually. He dribbled into traffic successfully and got to the rim a few times. I was most happy with his six assists, Luke darting the ball all over the place! I still believe in him.

    Lillard A++
    Leonard A
    Barton B
    Luke C+

Of course it's a fail. At least when it completely debases your argument.

Perhaps, but with so many other guys at least as deserving of PT, he's not going to have a very long leash.

My guess is that Babbitt is traded by mid-season and probably out of the league and playing in the ACB by next year.
