Inconsistent, favoring the usual favorites. Nets got an A? We have better forwards. Thunder an A just for re-signing players to the max? We did better with Batum.

I think these preseason ratings that show the Blazers near the bottom of the West are fair. I think the Blazers have sufficient talent to be able to be better than that, but it's on them to prove it. Hope they do.

I think they have an equal chance. It'll come down to who does better in camp and preseason.

Freeland will start because he has years of pro experience.

Leonard will start because Olshey feels ownership of selecting him.

    Hmm. Yep, it's Leonard.

I'm not sure what the overall score is trying to grade (i.e. chances at future success, this year, or just how good the summer was) but the actual assessment of the Blazers' roster seems pretty close to the mark.

Reading the other teams grades, ours is seems to be graded on the mark of "i'm not buying any hype from any player" while the a lot of other teams are graded on the mark of "i'm buying the hype of these players". I would give us an average grade of C to C+

Read the grade for the Nets. They lost out on the Howard sweepstakes, have $300 mil in contracts devoted to a starting unit that pays way too much for Joe Johnson and Crash. And they get an "A." Mostly for keeping Deron.
