If only Romney had straightened out prison policies while he was Governor.

Some people think they're a cat or wolf or falcon trapped in a human body. Same rights to medical /surgical freebies?

And why don't non-criminals get free medical/surgical treatment for anything?

Yes, it's amazing that the board's conservatives like taxpayers paying for this person's medical care, but not for us other prisoners of this conservative system.

I don't think this person should have his sex change operation paid for by the state.

    ?

I don't like taxpayers paying for anyone's medical care except in the most extreme cases (or for those who work for the gov't), and I think this wouldn't be an issue if people who were sentenced to life in prison for murder were executed.

Okay. Posts 4, 7, and 19 seemed to argue the opposite, in the context of the posts to which they responded.

Okay, you're a genius but I have to explain it to you?

Transsexualism is what it is. That's all I have to say about it.

Okay, Mr. Smooth. Usually, you can get away with making yourself look like a genius to the barely listening by mumbling that something is what it is. But you stumbled over an exception.

There is maybe one thing in the universe which one might argue that it isn't what it is. You got it. You're with me. Transsexualism. (Don't forget the double s.)

Sexualism is reproduction by using 2 parties. Asexualism uses 1 party. Where does that leave transsexualism? It's like looking at the second multi-reflection of yourself using 2 mirrors. It arguably is what it isn't.

    Discuss.

What I believe is the constitution gives people the right to Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness. Who am I, or YOU, to decide to disallow someone else's Pursuit of Happiness - especially when whatever they do has ZERO effect on me or you.

Unless we pay for a sex change operation. Some pay more into taxes and some receive more, like the prisoner. This tax relationship is not a 1-to-1 correspondence of payment to goods received. Therefore, you oppose taxes, insurance, gambling, the stock market, and the profit motive as socialist.

Taxes aren't voluntary. The rest of those things are, guaranteed by the 1st amendment right of freedom of association.

Only a "liberal" or Progressive judge would find that NOT giving this prisoner this sort of ELECTIVE medical treatment is cruel and unusual punishment.

I don't think he should have free healthcare until all law-abiding Americans have free healthcare. He murdered his wife.
