We got some german jews to build our rockets. The middle east invented zero and calculus along with the europeans. The list goes on, but you get the point. It depend on how recent you want to be with "innovative"
Damn... I didn't know America even existed when "zero and calculus" were invented. Clearly we should go back to a time period before America existed. Good point.
no! americans have grit and hustle! and it will alwas be this way because of our culture! :MARIS61: america is good at marketing garbage that people dont need, to people who cant afford it, yay us
Oh dear. Yeah, those silly people don't need prescription drugs, for example Don't let the facts get in the way of one of your dildo rants.
How does that support or rebut the assertion that America leads the world with respect to innovation and technological advances?
american innovation! pump our kids full of sugar and caffeine and then get them hooked on medication because they are too hyper! grit and hustle! by and large, the prescription drug companies are horrible beasts that have a rooted interest in keeping america sick or making us believe we are, in order to sell us medication from the cradle to the grave american innovation at its finest
I have no idea whether, per capita, the U.S. leads in subjectively measured areas like innovation. I do know that intelligence agencies influence awards like the the Nobel, so those stats count for nothing. I also have no idea how it affects the premise of this thread, which is the false history of the Reagan era that Denny and Maxiep like to push on everyone who wasn't working then. But I do know that even if the U.S. does lead in innovation or technology, it's because resources are allocated differently from other countries. This country doesn't care about health care for everyone, or jobs for everyone, or an easy life with many days off from guaranteed work. Instead, the money is put into "innovation and technology" (especially military) at the expense of happiness, personal security, and standard of living. The millions of homeless aren't impressed with innovation and technology.
I have to cautiously agree with this, mostly because I haven't experienced other cultures. How can someone define "American Culture" besides being innovators (lol sounds like something straight from my mothers mouth)
In various categories within innovation of new medicines, the U.S. ranks 10th, 22nd, 4th, and 2nd-last among countries. http://www.forbes.com/sites/johnlec...-innovate-is-americas-greatest-global-threat/
And less than a decade ago, the U.S. was ranked higher. Hmmmmm. Your own article even states that is has long been assumed that the U.S. has been the leader in technological advancement.
