The Beavs are looking good. As long as they stay healthy they will be alright.

If we keep improving the Civil War will be very interesting. We have great speed at our linebacker spots and we have a couple of physical, shutdown corners. I think our defense will keep us in the game.

As much as I love to watch the fast pace blur offense of Oregon, I got to say I enjoyed watching the Beavers play old school football of huddles, working the clock and playing smash mouth football.

Big test with Arizona's offense and now only one week to prepare.

Sorry i was wrong thought OSU was playing puppies instead just as fun the Happy Trees are...... SO this is actually a great game for OSU to see how they'll fare against a team the Ducks played last weekend. This will say a bunch about the Beavs and maybe just as much about AZ!

Who thinks the Happy trees get pee'd on by the Puppies in Seattle?

Civil War going to be interesting. If OSU carries this momentum, they could only have 2 loses and get into a decent bowl game!

Great point. I, too, like seeing good old fashioned trench warfare football.

I doubt the Beavers are for real. They've only played two games, and the inevitable letdown is...well, inevitable. Granted they do look better than they did last year so far, but we'll see how long it continues.

Do you think the Ducks are for real? They've only played 1 quality team (all at home). Beavs have played 2 and beat a good UCLA team on the road. As of now, both the Ducks and Beavs "are for real". Obviously the Ducks are at different level of "real" right now. But I think its safe to say that the Beavs are the more tested team so far.

I'd say "undecided", because while Wisconsin and UCLA were both ranked, I don't think most fans would say "they are who we thought they were". In a couple weeks if the Badgers and UCLA are taking care of who they should take care of, and OSU doesn't crap the bed, then you can make the case.

I mean, who knows if UCLA or Wisconsin is like Arkansas, who came in with a high ranking and lost to ULM and Rutgers and by 50 to Alabama?

I think you are making an early judgement. The beavs are maybe less to the Ducks in the Pac -12 (as the true dominant) but they are making the best turnaround story within the year. Let's see if the Ducks can get their national title eh?

I expect the Ducks to lose one, maybe even two games this year. I don't think they'll be in the Natty. Most likely they'll play in the Rose Bowl again.

The Beavs are for real. I'm convinced we can beat the Ducks now.

Long way to go obviously, but if we stay healthy we can do it.

I have to admit the Beavers are playing very well. They're stopping the run and making enough plays on offense to get the job done. Manion is very adept throwing over the top so the linebackers can't cheat in at all. I really like the way they play.

All that said, I think Oregon's defense is deeply talented and will take the day when they play OSU.

...so far, the answer is yes, this Beavers team is ranked #14 [for reals, not for "fakes"]!
