In their latest case of Portland Envy, Minnesota has hired ex-Blazers employee Steve "Hat Man" Gordon as Brandon Roy's personal ball washer. Evidently, this also gives the T-Pups the inside track to signing Greg Oden when he decides to comeback and DOMINATE the NBA!!!!!!!!!! BNM
Oh god, if they sign Oden that would just be too sweet. Can we go spam pictures of his cock on THEIR forum if that happens?
So they go after Nic. They sign Brandon. They get Dante. They have Love from PDX. They have Kahn from PDX. They have Terry Porter. They have Bill Bayno. Now, this guy. Talk about PDX envy.
I really thought all of this was a coincidence when they kept signing/hiring/trying to hire ex-Blazers. This is just getting so bizarre... do they really think this is going to turn out differently for them? Also, do these Minnesota writers/fans honestly think any of us let alone Paul Allen care?!? Riiiiiiiiiiiight, you have a super awesome spy inside the Blazers franchise now who's going to find out all their championship winning secrets and pass them on the T'Wolves.
From what Jaynes what twittering (yeah, I know...) they hired Hat Man last year. Might be an impetus to all of their recent signings (especially if he wormed into Kahn's ear like he was rumored to here)
Seriously! The Blazers have been a mediocre (at best) team for a decade. When they crawled out of the gutter (Roy/Aldridge) this team was still a 1st round and out team. I don't get this obsession.
Minnesota has no natural rivals. Milwaukee is the closest other team but they play in a different conference. They have never been good enough, long enough for anyone to take them seriously. So, it just seems like they are desperate, for whatever reason, to create some sort of rivalry with the Blazers. Maybe they think that by kicking us when we're down we'll start to take them seriously as a "division rival". Nah.... Joke's on them! BNM
Boy is it going to suck for them when Seattle gets a team back, our regional rival. Then they won't be able to keep this farce of a rivalry up.
Do we have a "hat man" picture? I just wasted 20+ min of my life reading stories about this cat, and I have no idea if he's even black or white.
Does it matter? It's not like we're voting him to be president or anything. P.S.: He's white. There was an Oregonian writeup on him a couple of years back.
