20 to 6 to start the fourth, if the hold out and Ducks win, that moves us up.

ND fumbled at the goal line in 2OT, then got lucky as S$%$ at Pitt's kicker missed a 32yd FG to win it. 3OT

If they are still ranked ahead of us after this week......give me a break. A shanked FG away from losing at home to an unranked team.

With all that has been said about Notre Dame's narrow victory, I think there is something special going on here. How else could they have won this game other than a miracle? I watched the entire game, and Notre Dame seemed dead by halftime.

I'm not going to talk about all the missed opportunities that could have made this game a blowout victory for Notre Dame, because that's not how football works. Plenty of teams have the, "We would have won big, but ___," scenarios. The fact of the matter is just that, no matter how they play,... they keep winning.

This just seems to be a team that has all the stars aligning for themselves.

Remember, the best teams don't always get to the BCS National Championship. I don't think Notre Dame is one of the two best teams in college football right now. It's pretty clear that Alabama and Oregon hold that distinction. However, Notre Dame has had that perfect mix of luck and skill that has carried them to this point, and it's easy to see them continue that to the title game.

They're beastly in so many ways: their defensive front, their tight end, their running backs, and their receivers (especially when you include Riddick), can get the job done. The main question is their quarterback play and their secondary, and that will be tested in what will ultimately be their conference title game: @ USC.

I just don't see how someone can applaud a top five school for going three overtimes with an unranked opponent. They deserve to drop. They passed Oregon because of strength of schedule, so they deserve to get passed.

    A) I'm not "applauding" their performance tonight.
    B) I think Oregon is a much better team.

In fact, most of my post is saying how I didn't applaud their performance, and how I think Oregon is better.

Now, with that said, how about the rest of my post?

I didn't say you did applaud them. I said I don't understand how someone could, which is why I will be pissed if they don't drop tomorrow.

And in regards to the rest of your post, are you trying to say that they've got God on their side or something?
