The one bugaboo I figured would really hold this team back. No matter how well the starters play, this second unit is going to gift-wrap a ton of games for the opposition ... my advice, just enjoy Lillard playing well, Leonard hopefully developing and hoping that Nicolas can take a step toward fulfilling the faith management put in him by living up to his contract.
was any of this a surprise? Was anyone thinking that Nolan Smith would be Blanky, or that Sasha would be what Matthews is supposed to be?
I don't know that our bench could beat their's (when Nash relegates Blaker to his normal spot in the rotation) in a game of 5 on 5, but they're definitely in the conversation, too.
How is Miami's bench? I know there are a lot of vet's chasing rings, but they have to have a lot of money tied up in their stars.
Their bench is pretty bad, but they're mostly veterans ... and having the best player in the NBA flanked by a top ten guy and a top fifteen guy covers over a lot of sins.
i really hoped claver would be good enough to get into the rotation, wtf happened and freeland too, these guys were supposed to be contributors, they are the reason our bench sucks assholes
To add salt to the wound, of the 4 rookies on the bench only one is playing meaningful minutes. Too many minutes being spent on guys who won't be here next season.
