You seriously believe that "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country" is what Obama espouses? We're giving people things and telling them we don't have to pay for it. If this isn't asking your country what it can do for you, I don't know what is.

maxiep lacks ingenuity, gets out of the way so Real Americans may prosper

When the going gets "tough", the 1%ers always wimp out. If it isn't handed to them on a silver platter, they're fairly helpless.

See ya, wouldn't want to be ya!

And yet the 1% employees most of the people in the United States. Go figure?! Guess you are punished for helping the union.

So, according to liberals, who are so tolerate to everyone and everything, it's unpatriotic for someone that has been successful in life to retire....instead of continuing to work just as hard for less profit?

    OK then.

Good for you, Maxie! (You selfish unpatriotic quitter.)

    Go Blazers

That's like saying the landlord with the most houses has the most renters, or the biggest hospital sees the most patients. It's true but what's your point? Is he a good landlord? Do the patients recover?

Real Americans are rewarded less for their efforts today than at any time in the last 40 years because their employers (the 1%) are ridiculously unfair and obscenely greedy. 40 years ago that wealth was spread over 20-30%, now it's hoarded by 1%. They are the disease that is killing America.

On behalf of those like me who couldn't get a hand job in a crack house with an 8-ball taped to our nuts, why are you saying "artificial stimulation" like it's a bad thing?

    Bullshit! http://www.manhattan-institute.org/html/ir_22.htm

The upper middle class is the major revenue for this country. And in this study, it's showing a decline of the 1%; which totally contridicts your opinion of 1% hoarding the wealth.

How so? We simply refuse to participate in Obamacare. The employees are free to quit. We have a large stable of people who will fill their positions. The slave class grew much larger yesterday. I look forward to exploiting their labor. With a large unemployment rate, wages stay low. Remember, elections have consequences. It's not our job to give free shit to everyone based on my labor and initiative.

As he acknowledges, he was already retired. As he acknowledges, he places small value on his employees to the extent that he will force them to seek full-time work with benefits elsewhere so he can hire someone more desperate, illegals maybe.

His "company" is a bunch of retired fatcats who don't need to work anyway. They were just taking advantage of the fact that they have money when others don't and watched the money roll in. Who wouldn't? Most of us do something similar, although on a smaller, more personal scale.

He now claims the honeymoon is over and he can't see how to make a decent profit at it anymore so he's going to either retire (even though he's retired already) or squeeze his employees even more.

Rules and regs change all the time, as the formerly affluent (comparatively) middle class knows.

The creative and entrepreneurial adapt and find new ways to function successfully under the new program. The lazy and the braindead fall to the wayside.

Since he's able to be fully retired anyway (my impression) more power to him. There's now, and there's when you're dead. Live all you can now.

And super great for the creative person who will instantly fill the "void" he leaves behind.

I don't see a problem with what maxiep is doing. Hell if I could do that now, I don't care who the fuck is president, I cash out and enjoy life.

At the same time maxiep, you should have no ill will towards people who voted for Obama because they want free shit (which is totally discrediting those who voted for Obama) . . . you are acting in your best interest (to hell with empolyees and the US) as they voted in their best interest.

I have no ill will toward people who voted for Obama. My argument is they thought short-term, to their long-term detriment. They may find that free shit isn't so free after all.

you act supprised? Did you think that employers where just going to open their collective wallets and pay employees benifits? The very path that Maxiep has laid out is not uncommon.

full time employees will become part timers

Lots of small businesses are just gonna go away

It is your prerogative I suppose. Just kinda seemed like you didn't get what you wanted, so you're taking your ball and going home (without giving much consideration to the many people who will be hurt by this). But I guess that's what you expect in a money-hungry capitalist society, so I can't really blame you. I think I'm still young enough not to be jaded by money/power/etc, and still want to help the world. Being the healthcare industry also has a bit of that effect.

That is belittling the people who voted for Obama. People voted for Obama for many differnt reasons.

If I was a woman, no way I vote for Romney. Whatever best interst he may serve for the economy, he is not advocate for independent women.

If I'm gay, no way I vote for Romney.

If I have relatives in this country who are undocumented, no way I vote for Romney.

It is complex society and many people have issues that they consider far more important than whatever the difference that is actually done on the economy between the two canidates. No one is questioning if you are short sighted with an extreme reaction to the election (model or not),you should not assume everyone is shortsighted who voted for Obama. People have all kinds of rationale reasons to vote for Obama.

what I dont think most understand, oboma care mandates that we have insurance, if an employer provides that as a benifet it has to be up to X level, or the employer can decide to no longer offer the benifit. So, it is an easy choice between pay more or dont pay.

At that point it is up to the employee to get his own insurance or face a tax..this is not the universal health care that many think it is...

It's not just about the money, I'm sure. It's about being made the beast of burden that is forced to pull the cart. The consequences of the election is to make people into slaves. Except he has the ability to get out of that situation.
