And you're using the awesome power of those numbers to... defend Jamal Crawford? You sure pick some strange battles, KingSpeed.

Just finishing up the 3rd quarter rewatching the game..... beside Nic's FG% tonight, he was awesome! Everywhere on both ends. He was D'ing up CP3 and hittin' 3s on the other end..... I love this guy!

And I saw Lillard spit double teams on the pick n roll twice! Looked like CP3 himself!

Hickson might provide some scoring off the bench. Stotts seems to want to play it safe by playing the "vets" like Pav and Jefferies. But he should try another group. Price/Barton/Claver/Hickson/Freeland.

It'll be nice when the blazers have consistency from their players for more than short moments.

Oh, and a bench that doesn't suck teet.

Gotta love Batum getting the iso to end the quarter. Can't remember that ever happening with McMillan. The lob to Leonard was fantastic.

If Portland had put Batum on Paul all game it might have been a different outcome.

I think that bumpy game is the template for our bumpy season. All in one game. There were some fun stretches and some fun play and some flashes of impressive potential. Leonard is half lost half the time, but you can see his potential. Lillard is amazing but has plenty of rookie plays. Great to see Batum stretch himself and be aggressive. He had a bad shooting stretch in the first half, but came back super aggressive in all facets of the game and got us back in the game. A couple of his attempts were a little over the top, but we'd all rather see that than the converse, I think. It's about growth. I'm not sure I like how Stotts uses LaMarcus, but we'll see. We got beat by a better team. Hickson was no match for a real center and they have a really good bench. We need both of those. Next summer will be huge for us. Until then I'm just going to enjoy the ride and look for development in our players. What other choice do I have?

Possibly. But I liked Lillard getting a shot to defend him (even in the 4th Q after Nic had shown to be successful in the 3rd). Let the kid get his lumps now so he can learn how to defend for later.
