Man, why can't any linebackers, or anyone for that matter, commit to the Ducks. We're getting no one and we're playing so well :/

One of the Robinson twins is a 4-star Linebacker. Last year we had two LB targets poached, one to texas other to ucla. the one LB we got was Bafaro. Year before that we got Wallace.

Several of the athletes or secondary players recruited last year can play LB if they put on more weight.

I have a feeling a lot of the recruits don't want to come to Oregon because CK might be leaving. I could be all wrong but there seems to be a lot of rumors, articles even Moseley has said he doubts CK will be back next year. It seems almost for sure that CK will eventually be leaving for the NFL.

If the Ducks win the natty this year, does CK leave?

Yes he will, but Mark Helfrich can fill in nicely

I agree unless we get a super star coach which I don't think we will even try Helfrich is our coach. It keeps our current offense and the players we have already. If we have another good year under Helfrich we will get the recruits that we would have gotten if CK had stayed.

I think CK would be gone for sure. I think there is a great chance even if we don't win or play in the natty CK will be gone.

Chip says he stayed in Oregon to finish business. He's going to win a natty, then leave

Not from what many of the people close to the team are saying. Moseley says he doubts CK is back no matter what happens. He thinks CK will have the pick of 4-5 NFL teams and will find one that he thinks is a good fit. CK already said coaching in the NFL has always been he dream. The TB job just wasn't a good fit for CK and that is the biggest reason he didn't go last year not the unfinished business stuff.

I find it very silly when people speak authoritatively about something they know next to nothing about.

    Why pretend?

I read most everything I can on the Ducks and have never read Chip talking about the NFL as his dream. I have read lots of reporters speculating with zero quotes

I'd be really surprised if you could provide a link

Btw...No reporter including Mosely is close to the team

This has more to do with spooking our recruits in my eyes! USC knows they could lose a few to us now and we are now the #1 team in the land! Chip is our glue, so of course he has to bolt right? hmmmmmm!!!!!

I keep seeing Cam Newton regress this year and wonder who much he'd improve in Chip's passing game.

Newton is being wasted in Carolina's offense. They are trying to make him a pocket passer this year, for some reason.

Fans and Teams that are focusing on recruiting this time of year, usually arent playing for much. I've followed recruiting for some years when that was the big news this time of year. (Trust me, this has been a lot more fun)

This has been my thought for weeks. Having gotten to see Newton first hand, I imagine Chip would lick his chops at the opportunity to have Cam run his offense. The only problem is that they don't have enough other weapons to make it work.

Philly does. Foles can be a passer, they could draft Barner in the 2/3rd round, and get a RB in FA(like Blount). You have 3 capable backs, all those WRs, and Foles as a decent passer and Chip bringing a new mentality to the Eagles.

Wasn't New Hampshire more pass passed when he was OC?
