If and I stress "IF" the Blazers decided to move LMA, what positions (and or draft picks) would be preferable to trade for and then who would you go after. Lets try to be somewhat realistic.

    Best-case scenario:

-Blazers lotto lands them a top-3 pick.
    -Blazers draft Cody Zeller (PFOTF)

Then I'd look East for a deal for prospects/picks.

Brad Beal and Kevin Seraphin? Of course this depends on Wall's health.

If he's put on the market a ton of teams are going to call. No need to rush.

Derozan + unprotected pick.Would TOR do that? I think it works contract wise, too. Demar is on a Nic-like breakout season this year. But MM's premise of a high level SG + prospect seems to be the best case scenario. It's kinda sad that we're talking about this, though. He has the talent to be a top 10 player-- just isn't showing it.

I don't think they would. They committed to Derozan, and I doubt they'd give up on him that quickly, even for LMA, especially considering that they also have Bargs and Valanciunas in their frontcourt.

Well ill assume he wont be traded until summer and I think it depends on our pick.
If we get a top 3 pick depending on the pick id trade him for what we dont draft at sg/pf. I would want good draft picks as well as young good sg/pf.
I dont think any lottery team is going to give us whay we would want for him. Might be able to swing him to houston for their lottery pick and something like patterson and white.

Well, toronto can't trade a pick any time soon, so throw that idea out.

I see no real reason to trade him right now. I think he will make things so much easier for Nic and, more importantly, Lillard to grow. If half way through next year, before the deadline, there's been no real movement forward with the team, then maybe look to move him, sure. Of course, we'll move him for a pick we won't get thisyear, and then when that pick is new, we'll have to talk about who to trade Lillard for, because he'll be too old to form a core with said new player in 4 years, and we should just trade him before his value is gone. Lather, rinse, repeat. If you can find a really good deal for him that makes you a better team however you define that, sure. Everyone can be traded if it falls under that. If you're moving him just because he's older than our young guys, that makes no sense to me.

We went through this about 2 months ago. I said wait for a Dwight Howard situation. Wait till a big star is being dumped for financial or other reasons. Aldridge will be the best offer they get. Our owner will pick up the tab where other owners sneak out of the restaraunt.

There really isn't at this point. Harden was the only real target that I could think of, and that's dead and gone.

I am not sure Harden really was. I suppose it was possible, but the whole reason OKC traded him was to NOT have am extra guy long term with a 15 million dollar contract.

Aldridge would be worth having on the books. They dealt Harden because he was a luxury. They already had Westbrook and those two made one expendable. They don't have a good power forward (unless you count Durant). Bringing in Aldridge would have made Ibaka expendable and they could have dealt him for draft picks or whatever. Plus, Aldridge isn't on a max deal.
