dont remember having this debate in here why and why not? asking someone to work 5-20 hours a week for their ebt, free food, and housing seems like a good idea, but am i missing something? this could be as simple as working at shelters/picking up trash or as complex as staffing entire factories
well thats what im saying, maybe make recipients work a little bit for it? is it a bad idea? seems pretty fair i know some people cant work and thats fine, but able bodies full ride peeps could maybe help doing something? anything?
Hmm, yeah..base it upon ability. hell we have a whole department of employment that believes all they have to do is point the unemployed to a computer..lets say they can screen those collection and make determinations based upon ability..could even help transition to full time employment etc etc tec
I'd think the "work" in "workfare" could be daycare. That would give people ability to go out and get a decent job they couldn't otherwise accept because they don't have the daycare.
that could work too is this a touchy subject that i dont know about? seems alot of money could be made/saved to help with the deficit
So basically you're advocating a system where people can work menial jobs for government provided housing, food, and services?
GOP? naw man they want to limit social programs, havent you heard? thats thier problem not being able to elect a candidate..left wing is where the social concerns are being delt with
is that the issue with it? that it is "communism"? seems better than just giving money away for nothing
I don't think conservatives advocate them working the job provided by the government for the sake of working. I think they'd rather cut off the benefits and actually force them to look for work.
well yeah id rather just get a blowjob than have a 69 with a dude, but sometimes you take the good with the bad
Lots of potholes to be filled, garbage to be picked up, trees to be planted and pruned, etc., etc. First, however, I put the prisoners to work. Then the freeloaders.
