I've got these guys ahead of him (no particular order) Cp3 Rondo Nash Parker Dwill Rubio Irving Westbrook Lowry Lawson Dame has been great and I believe to already be a top 10-15pg, i cant put him ahead of lawson yet because dame has only played a couple games. But you could make the argument. No Drose because I don't think he comes back the same. Dame has a lot of Lowry in him. They are strikingly similar.
For a team in our situation there are only a couple that fit the long term mold holiday, collison, lawson, rubio, curry, irving, lillard. I wouldnt take any of them over lillard. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Hmm Felton left a sour taste in my mouth and I haven't watched a ton of Knicks bball Probably after dame, curry, and maybe jennings
I would take Irving (younger, better) and Rubio (younger, elite defender, elite passer, would thrive next to nic, Wes, and LMA) But I wouldn't take any of those other guys over same especially since he's still got a lot of room to grow
He had and unfortunate knee injury but was perfectly fine every game before that according to the game log
Lillard is ranked right behind all the other PGs who can score 27 and get red hot in crunch time. List those and put him at the end of that list.
It's still simply too early to tell. I can't wait to see what his numbers are at the end of the year, and then compare those to some of these other guards.
So he's better than rondo Thats a dumb way to judge a player, there is a lot more to the game, especially for a pg, than scoring
The main thing that I'd see holding him back at this point is the turnover rate. I understand that when you're a team's primary ballhandler and backcourt scoring option, you're going to get a lot of turnovers just by the nature of your job, but then again, I also think that if you inserted a lot of other guys into his role, they could put up similar or better offensive numbers with a lower turnover rate.
Idk Rubio made this roster a playoff team with no offseason, their was absolutely no help on the wings Kevin love Nikola pekovic Jj barea Luke ridnour Michael Beasley Martell Webster Wesley Johnson Derrick Williams Darko milicic Brad miller Anthony tolliver Malcolm lee If we make the playoffs this year and dame was a big reason then yeah dame>rubio
Such as? The turnovers are a combination of a sloppy team overall, and the fact that he's a rookie who has only played 9 games...
I really don't like the assumption that a younger player's ceiling is significantly higher than an older player's when both are younger than 25. But I'm probably being stupid again, huh?
