Republicans, can I ask an honest question about racism

Hi.
I would first like to preface by saying that I am not calling any of you who post or visit this forum racist. I am interested in the perception that a racist is more likely to be a Republican than a Democrat. Do you find this to be inaccurate?

There have been a lot of links, graphs and postings lately which I find inflammatory and only reflect the views of a subsection of people and they often get in the way of an honest discussion, so I am not posting those here.

Personally, I really don't ever hear any racist comments in real life, so I have almost no firsthand knowledge to go on. Would any of you care to share your views on racism in America? Is that where some of the hatred of Obama comes from? What are the political leanings of anyone you know who is racist?

 

calling somebody racist is bringing up race, which is racist, you racist

 

I know that is green font worthy, but I'll defend myself anyway. I never called anyone racist.

 

I've seen many, and I mean many, on Twitter drop the n-bomb but later claim they aren't racist.

I challenge you to find any KKK member in the history of that group who wasn't a Republican.

You like the word inflammatory. The ladies at the Recipes Forum would love a visit.

 

Most republicans dont care obama is black so much as his poor performance in office, disagreement with his philosophy for america, political inexperience before office and his seemingly mysterious origins (we know shockingly little about him).

The racists are outliers. It is my contention that more people voted for him because he was black than voted against him.

Non-inflammatory isn't a word. Flammatory is.

A civil war was fought against the fascist South over this issue, so it's flammatory.. Racists are conservatives. Conservatives are mostly Republicans nowadays.

 

There are racists in both parties.

However, some of the most out-front and blatant racists are Democrats. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton are anti-Semitic and have been allowed to skate on this because they are black and Democrats.

As well, many of the black Democrats are constantly allowed to paint white people and white republicans especially as presumed racists. That is a kind of racism. "Because you are a different color skin than me, and because we disagree about the role of government, I assume you to be a racist."

 

Well look at the nationality of a majority white society in Oregon. Then see how the the majority population being democrat. So I don't believe the political party has as much to do with racism. I think the area you are raised is the biggest influence as being racist.

I actually have a few liberal friends that are really racist. China is a completely left wing society and they were extremely racist society. In Japan; they are considered a very liberal society; but racist. It happens everywhere and on any political view.

 

Your finds are irrelevant because nowadays, Democrats have a lot fewer conservatives.

Look no further than the 2008 Democrat primaries. Obama won ~97% of the black population vote over Clinton in the southern states.
