So you also think the only time a demographic has been split 97-3 just HAPPENED to coincide with the first time there was a black candidate for president?

    That's pretty naive.

As has been stated, it's been 92+ several times since 1968. Hell, it was 91/9 for MONDALE in 1984. I think there are multiple reasons for the 91% base to start with, and if there were maybe a couple of % points that would've voted R except that Obama was black, then they're severe outliers.

I did try. Specifically, they were Travis Outlaw's shoes. I almost got them on over my size 13 shoes.

so get over it and move back to africa...nice

and slaves here were bred in certain ways to achieve certain results... so until this gene manipulation is erased from their lineage, could you say that they actually are still feeling the effects of slavery?

in any event, something to ponder on

until you can prove to me that blacks were voting for Obama solely because he was black, it's no different then when white vote for a candidate who happens to be white.

Are you saying that Whites voted for McCain and Romney because he was white like them and they didn't want to vote for a black candidate?

Seems to me you're pontificating a point you don't need to or want to, nor does it make the overall bigger point that you seem hell bent on defending.

Can't be. Blacks voted for Obama because he's black. So obviously the black Rs must've voted the same %'s for Herman Cain in their primaries

In the democratic primaries it was split that way? No, you're talking about the general election.

Damn, why is it so hard for everybody to comprehend there is a huge difference between the expected split in the black vote between the general and primary elections?

Look at the stats. Sure it isn't an absolute proof, but if you want to be so naive and ignore what the stats are STRONGLY suggesting, go ahead and continue to bury your head in the sand.

Considering there are no stats suggesting that, like there are supporting the black vote, I'm definitely not saying that.

I'm telling you what the stats strongly suggest. If you want to ignore them and make excuses, that's your problem.

    Who said "only"?

Clearly in many posts before I've said that many people are racists. Whites and blacks.

Not sure why you want to create that strawman so badly.

I don't know. There are pockets of each that are racist. Probably depends on your definition of "more racist".

stats only "strongly" suggest what you want it to suggest, in your world.

The only thing you've "proved" is that 97% of black voted for Obama. you have done nothing but conjecture as to WHY they voted that way.

But you are saying that blacks only voted for Obama because he was black (in the primaries). I guess it's backed up because they also voted for him in the general (twice).
You're telling me what you WANT the stats to suggest. If you want to continually say that they suggest something (without actually providing facts other then R talking points said to make yourself feel less racist, go ahead. If anything, you continually trumpeting the 97% makes you sound MORE like someone who is denying their racism. Which is bad, ESPECIALLY considering I have no reason to believe you are (and therefore, don't), but you keep bringing up a non matter as proof, when it's not).

And again, voting for someone because they're the same color as you is NOT racism or racist. otherwise, whats good for the goose (black folk voting for Obama) is good for the gander (white people who voted for Romney).
