I think Olshey is a guy that isn't afraid to pull the trigger on a big trade.

    How about

Aldridge for Favors, Hayward, Burks and #1

Get a solid, future star in Favors and good depth and in Hayward and Burks and future 1st and probably better positioning in this years draft.

So after you listed all that, why would Utah do it?

No way the Jazz does this. I think Utah is giving up way too much in this deal.

Not to mention, the last thing Utah needs right now is another big....

    Milsap
    Jefferson
    Favors

Why would they deal for Aldridge?

that's the vein I'm generally leaning toward, though. Trading LMA to a team that's ready to make a jump somehow (either into the playoffs, or from participant to contender) and take a not-quite-ready-for-prime-time big man and draft picks and other goodies, without losing cap space.

K, take out the 1st and Hayward. Shit, Burks too.

I'd do Favors for Aldridge too. Its too bad the salaries don't match.

We'd have Favors a week, maybe two, before the same people would be on here bitching about how his offensive game is limited, how he mainly scores on putbacks, how we need him to work with Olajuwon, how he needs to learn a drop step, etc. And then in 2 years, we'd have trade scenarios. Might as well cut out the middle now. What can we trade Favors for, anyone?

I'll end this thread right now.

No Zags, if by some chance we trade LMA for Favors, Minnesota will not trade Love for Favors.

    Fantasy over.

Never been a huge fan of Aldridge. Finesse big men...Meh. His PER has plummeted. A Lillard/Favors/Leonard/Batum core going forward will be solid.

    A three-way involving Cousins/picks would be intriguing.

We can't send LMA to a rebuilding team.

    *shouldn't(?)

The team that acquires Cousins better have a team full of seasoned vets.

    i.e., not us.

Wait till he Z-bos himself out of Sacto and pick him up cheap.
