When you start listing a bunch of combos that won championships and had a similar age difference, you are comparing those players. It's like Hailblazers saying that Dirk won his championship when he was in his 30s.... they're different players. They do different things. Dale Ellis played into his 40s.... is Aldridge like Dale Ellis?

I would trade Aldridge for MKG and Gordon. Move Batum to shooting guard. Bring Wesley off the bench. Re-sign Hickson for sure and maybe bring in another power forward like Milsap.

MKG/Gordon is about 17 million. Aldridge makes 13.5, with Babbitt and Smith it's about 17 million.

When you say that the age difference doesn't matter with Aldridge and Lillard because, hey, it obviously worked for Parker/Duncan and Shaq/Kobe.... What are you trying to say exactly? How is that not comparing Aldridge to one of the players in that equation?

 

He is going to get a contract close to as much as LMAs (in per year not necessarily length) and he is no scrub. Fringe All-Star possibly at some point in his career depending on what team he goes to.
