That's what I was thinking too. He's got money to piss away, and even with this amazingly high overhead; he still has enough to last him.
When AI was actually on his game; he was the 2nd best defensive PG on the planet. Gary Payton was the best and Stockton was 3rd. But yeah the dude has completely lost it. Complete waste of talent.
How many people does he feed? $10,000 a month on groceries? Even buying at high end stores, he must be feeding a frigging army.
"Its easy to talk about, its easy to sum it up when you just talk about finance. We sittin' in here, I'm supposed to be the husband, and we in here talkin' about finance. I mean listen, we talkin bout finance. Not a marriage, not a marriage, not a marriage. We talkin bout finance. Not a marriage, not a, not a, not the marriage that I go out there and die for, and play every marriage like its my last. Not the marriage. We talkin' bout finance, man. I mean how silly is that? We talkin' bout finance. I know I'm supposed to be there, I know I'm supposed to lead by example. I know that, and I'm not shovin' it aside, you know, like it don't mean anything. I know its important, I do. I honestly do. But we talkin' bout finance, man. What are we talkin' bout? Finance? We talkin' bout finance man. We talk... We talkin' bout finance. We talkin' bout finance. We ain't talkin' bout the marriage, we talkin' bout finance, man. When you come into the coutrroom, and you see me play, you see me play, don't you? You see me give everything I got, right? But we talkin' bout finance right now. We talkin' bout finance. (crowd laughs) Man look, I hear you, its funny to me too. I mean, its strange, its strange to me too. But we talkin' bout finance man. We not even talkin' bout the marriage, the actual marriage, when it matters. We talkin' bout finance." -Allen Iverson in the courtroom
Pretty obvious reaction to any man that is going through a divorce. I've been divorced twice and in family law court rooms more times than I would like to admit. I see this happening each and every day. You see the so called "Great community people" turn into the ugliest people in the planet in the court room. They are scrapping for money. In the end, most pay more to their attorneys than what they actually are awarded through court. So even though his wording is comical; he actually makes a damn good point. When you get divorced and have kids; that should be the first and foremost focus. You need to make separation as least painful to them. Sometimes both sides have to give in and the chips fall as they lie. But most the time, it's the parents fighting tooth and nail for custody because that equates to less money paid or more money given. It's a piece of work that is some of the ugliest human behavior I've seen on this planet.
Mags, homie.... It's evident you ARE, in fact, shroomin' today! Take a hit of the pollen and lighten up, my man. You seem to have missed the boat on my post. Don't you remember Iverson's "we talkin' 'bout practice" rant years ago? Youtube it, dude. Best. Press Conference. EVER.
