I wouldnt do it. Seraphin is nothing special, will be a career backup. Not sold on beal, I dont think he is the next ray allen more like the next webster and this draft doesnt have me impressed save for a few players. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Only if the pick is unprotected, and I doubt Washington would not put protection on the pick. On another note, why does Washington do that? They're nowhere near contending, with or without Aldridge.
Seraphin has semi-star potential. Beal has star potential. The first would land us Zeller. Solid, solid future to go forward with.
Aldridge is what he is. A jump shooting big man with touch, but can't be counted on as a #1 option. A future of: Lillard Beal Batum Zeller Leonard With Seraphin, Hickson and Matthews off the bench could be a great team.
Maybe..... I don't watch the Wizards, but Okafor and Beal's numbers don't look very good. An unprotected pick would be nice though! I'm not sure how well LaMarcus fits in with this team. Lillard, Matthews and Batum are all jump shooters. The Blazers need interior toughness. Hickson would be a solid PF for us, but we need a center. Okafor would be ok till Leonard develops, and we'd get two prospects with Beal and a pick.
The Aldridge hating is unbelievable. He does more than just shoot jump shots. He has a post game that ot only produce scores for himself but also for his teammates. He also has been a clutch offensive rebounder in recent games. He is one of the best players in the league. I hope we don't trade him but if we did, you'd regret. His new team would instantly be vastly improved and it'd be Randolph all over again. How come he didn't play like that for us? He did. How is a top 10 scorer in the league not a good number one option? Ugh. His defense is underrated too.
You're absolutely right. 1 of every 10 shots is a dunk. It's a shame he doesn't like to use it, or his coach isn't letting him use it. Unfortunately, aside from those 2 OT games, he hasn't been any type of offensive rebounder at all. Including those two monster games, he's #96 in the NBA in ORB%...behind such all-NBA big man talent as Eric Bledsoe, Matt Barnes and Ekpe Udoh. Gimme a number, Eric. Top 15? Top 20? Top 30? Maybe. Or maybe you should wait to see what comes back. Did the L*kers regret trading Vlade Divac? You mean, how the Knicks and Clippers and the first year in MEM were "vastly improved?" Or how we improved 9 games just by trading him, and then made two playoff runs the following years? In 2010-11, and 2011-12. If he shot 80 shots a game and averaged 40 points per game doing so, would you say he's the greatest player in the game today? There's your answer. Just about every metric of defense and rebounding says that it isn't.
To defend Aldridge, you imply that we should have kept Zach instead of him. <scratches off some dandruff, trying to understand>
Vlade Divac is not even close to the same talent as LMA. The better question would be was the 76'rs happy when they dealt Chris Webber? Maybe was Sacramento happy that they let Brian Grant walk and go to Portland? Also, Lakers got Kobe for Vlade. That is a huge improvement obviously. The trade scenarios aren't even bringing back a potential superstar in return. Any deal so far is lopsided to the other team's favor.
