    LOVE this quote:

"This team just lost to the 4-17 Cavaliers who shot 50% from the line and had 6 points from their bench. The Cavs did everything in their power to lose, and not only did they win, they controlled the whole game."

A Laker fan coming to grips with what I like to call "Season over":

With that said, even if they get as high as the 4th seed, I think 1-3 is out of reach, they won't do much in the playoffs. Remember how important HCA was vs Boston in 2010. Lets say by the miracle of tyhe basketball gods they reach the finals as a 4th seed, they will have to have used up so much energy to actually get that seed since they dug such a hole. Do you really see them going into Miami in a game 6 or 7 and closing them out?? I don't, not realistically at least. This year is a fail, just get to know eachother, gel and learn the D'Antoni system. Get some young wing guys this summer and make a real run next year.

    A classic, lol:

Sorry, you can't beat NBA teams simply by outscoring them

Actually, that's the only way you can beat NBA teams. LOL

Sergio was a little better than Duhon when both were on D'Antoni's Knicks. Sergio would now be a Laker starter.

Anyway, with all that criticism of Howard, why don't we wait for him to re-up this summer with the Lakers, then trade Aldridge for him. Then Howard can't escape Portland.

Since we are not going anywhere in the standings, I have not been watching the rest of the league. Was shocked to see the L*kers behind us and with a bunch more home games than we have had. Wow, this is epic. I would trade a Blazer playoff spot for the L*kers to miss the playoffs completely.

Notice, I did not say I would trade a Blazer championship for a L*ker lottery. But yeah, with the salary they are committed to, I would be a happy camper.

Man I just looked at their salaries and am seriously laughing now. Without even Dwight Howard; they are 78 mil with only 7 players. If Howard bolts; they would only be able to offer MID MLE for additional players.

As a Laker fan, you have to ask yourself which would be worse:

Letting Dwight Howard walk and getting nothing in return.

    or

Resigning him to a max contract.

I just hope some desperate, idiot GM doesn't offer them a sign and trade for Howard. I'd really like to see them get nothing for him, or get saddled with a max contract for the next five years or declining performance.

The only shitty thing about this episode is if we hadn't had our health problems we'd be competing for championships and treating them the way my son treats a diaper.

The Lakers will miss the playoffs, yet somehow get the #1 pick in next year's draft, along with trading Pau Gasol to Minnesota for Kevin Love next summer so Minny doesn't lose Love for nothing, and takes on Gasol's huge expiring contract.

Stern's final act of kindness to Adam Silver before retiring.

    ;)

They dumped Bynum in the same situation. There's a sucker born every minute, especially when the League Office helps the Lakers find the sucker.
