...amazing knock-out power, even with a glancing blow! I am also amazed that Tyson was fined $5,000 in this fight because he wore black trunks, apparently challengers are not allowed to wear black trunks :dunno:

I watched a documentary on Mike and it showed some footage of him fighting in the Olympics. It's amazing how fast and agile he was, not just powerful.

He was like the LeBron of boxing. A guy that size should not move that fast or be that agile.

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) - Mike Tyson is coming to Portland.

There won't be a boxing match involving the former heavyweight champ, however. Instead, "Iron Mike" will be performing a one-man show.

The Portland Center for the Performing Arts has listed Mike Tyson, Undisputed Truth for the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall on March 13, 2013.

The Broadway show, directed by Spike Lee, is now a national tour featuring the infamous retired boxer talking about his life in and out of the ring.

Tickets cost $32.50 to $80. VIP ticket packages are available for $318 and include VIP seating in the first five rows, along with an opportunity to meet Tyson.

Ticket information is available at PCPA.com.

Imagine if he'd have been brought up in the era of the UFC. That kind of power and speed coupled with some wrestling--would've been fun.

His most notable wins were against an old Larry Holmes and a glorified light-heavyweight in Michael Spinks.

Tyson was the most fun fighter to watch in his prime, IMO, but not the best. He lost to Buster Douglas when he was still a young boxer. Gotta go with Ali and even Frazier as being better heavyweights, and Wlad Klitschko would have destroyed Tyson at any point of Mike's career, just because of his size and skill as a boxer. Mike would have been so frustrated, he would have eaten both of Wlad's ears had Mike been able to reach that high.

Wish we could fight them both in their primes to find out. My money is on Iron Mike still though.
