is the best comparison for Lillard, Reggie is Right. While Rose is more explosive, Dame has a better shot. If anyone would know it would be Miller.

    He's not as athletic.

I still like the Nash comparison.

I like the Chauncey Billups comparison the most. And yes they just said this on TNT but I heard it said earlier this year and agreed then as well.

Lillard was in the zone on that stretch! I'm not sure why Stotts pulled him. In his defense, Lillard shorted his first shot back off the bench, so he could have been tired, but he was also on fire at the moment.

Stotts wanted him to end his shift on a high note. Better mental headspace to be in when he comes back... less forcing if he made his last shot.

    Makes sense. Hell, it worked.

Shaq just compared him to Chris Jackson... what a jackass Shaq is, always comparing people to Chris Jackson. We get it, Jackson is under-appreciated, but just because he's your boy doesn't mean you can get off comparing great players like Damian Lillard to him.

Arenas, Curry and Porter are the best comparisons, IMO

Arenas wasn't really a point guard. I could see Dame averaging 8 assists for his career.

In his pre crazy days and after his rookie season, Gil averaged 6.3, 5.0, 5.1, 6.1, 6.0, 5.1, 10.0, 7.2 apg. Lillard might average a little more than that, but their games are very similar

The 10 apg was in a season that he played two games. That shit doesn't count lol

before a slew of knee surgeries in his late 20's, Gilbert took it to the hole a lot more then Damian has been consistently ranking among the league leaders at getting to the line.

I think Damian will have no problems getting to the line but he will have to learn when to make contact simply to draw the foul to get 2 free throws and when to make the extra move to finish at the hole. As he get more rep with the refs and as he adapts his tricks he will become deadly considering his long range ability and his free shooting %. What I love about Damian is that his "weaknesses" are very "fixable" or "learnable" if you will. Its almost like he has the hard parts figured out.

I see Gilbert, and I see Derrick Rose and Stevie Francis. Also I see a little bit of Randolph Childress (when he was in college).

But I don't get the Terry Porter comparisons, or Steve Nash. Terry wasn't exactly a guy who could create his own shot or break down the defense.

Chris Jackson was a lights out shooter in his early days. A good distributor as well, actually.

I think he plays like Isiah Thomas most. Great driver and great shooter. Similar size too I think.
