Never played a minute for us right? I know he was injured some of that time but I think POR knew he wasn't great to have around the team (even with all the other problems last year).

It's always hilarious when non-sports media refers to every athlete as a star, even bench warmers.

The saddest thing is that it's not really what he's become but rather what he's always been. This has got to be his third or fourth arrest since he was drafted, and he's only 26 years old.

I hope he's saving that first round money, because he's never played up to his potential and is probably starting to look like more trouble than he's worth for a vet's minimum.

Sad to see our tax money being wasted to harass and torture someone whose only problem is a medical/psychological infirmity.

He was harassed and tortured? Are you being sarcastic?

I'd be livid if he weren't arrested. The man was driving around in my community in his obnoxiously tricked out Panamera that's always flying around the area, under the influence, with marijuana and codeine syrup, possibly with the intent to sell it.

Arrested for codeine, not coke. (Originally mistakenly reported as coke bust.)

So in our modern police state, you can't have cough syrup in the car. I know I've transported cough medicine from the pharmacy to my sick sister recently.

The article says he didn't have a prescription for the cough syrup, presumably meaning it wasn't an over the counter product.

I know, that's why I quoted the part which told you that. The prescription was for my sister, so I had no prescription for me. Also, there was no written prescription; it was a standing order. I have never heard that it's illegal to have prescription cough syrup in a car without having in your pocket the written prescription for yourself.

Gotcha. I've picked up scripts for my wife on many occasions. If that's illegal, I didn't know it.

Maybe he was dumb enough to say that he had been drinking it?
