    bud, I would never run up to a guy that MAY have the chance to unjam his gun before I get to him, on the chance I could take him down..just not sound thinking. If I had a clear shot take it,if any other action could put more people in harms way..restraint

    as in maybe this guy shouldn't have ever been given a gun, or had someone show him how to use a gun, or lend him a gun or show him their gun.

    Who says the guy was mentally ill? Seems to me he was a coward who wanted to live in infamy for some reason.

    Seriously, I keep reading about the Clackamas guy being mentally ill, but the people who knew him that have been interviewed said nothing like that.

    You listed off a few ways of preventing this from happening and I was asking about the second of the three. Not sure where you got that EXACT quote but it wasn't from that post.

    This exchange says way more about us than it does about the Clackamas shooter, of course. All this clap-trap lipservice about treating the mentally ill is disgusting when it comes out that really, thy just want them to be gang-raped to death.
