Such bullshit. $EC can buy championships, but the NCAA is on our balls for Willie Lyles?

I don't see them under investigation.

You didn't see them cutting a $25K check to Willie either.

No, they only cut $6k and $5k checks. Or, in Tennessee's case under Kiffin, a $1500 personal check from Willie Mack Garza, UT ass't coach, to Lyles after he brought Lache Seastrunk and his mom on an "unofficial" trip to Tennessee when Lache was a JR in HS.

The SEC plays by a different set of rules.

No. Just $250K+ to Cam Newton. But that's OK.

    His dad, not him.

Pryor getting in trouble for selling his own autographs was so stupid.

Tennessee is under investigation because one of Lane Kiffin's assistants cut a personal check to Lyles after he flew Lache and Lache's mom to Knoxville in 2009.

It's odd that USC was given the ban hammer because Reggie Bush's parents got money, and the NCAA never even interviewed Reggie to find out if his parents knew about it.

Yet Cam's dad clearly got money, but because Cam said he didn't know about it, he was cleared in literally one day by the NCAA.

The USC sanctions included oj mayo and items he received too. Bush did receive some of the extra benefits

I wonder how much Cam paid his dad from the money?

Bush received none of the extra benefits, at least according to the NCAA's findings.

What is interesting is that Bruce Pearl got fired from the U of Tennessee for violations, while at the same time Willie Mack Garza was paying Lyles directly to bring Lache Seastrunk for a visit to Knoxville, yet the NCAA doesn't seem too interested in that case. Seems like an obvious case of 'lack of institutional control' to me, doesn't it?

In Tennessee's case, it is provable that the basketball program and the football program were both flagrantly in violation of NCAA rules.

No one ever proved that Cam's dad got paid. That doesn't mean that he didn't, only that it was never proven.

    Sorta true.

The circumstantial evidence was overwhelming. But, no, no check stub was ever produced.

If the SEC doesn't win a championship this year, expect "claims" to go against SEC teams
