The cool thing about statistics is they can change. Not saying they will but just because you lost 9 times out of 10 doesn't mean you will lose that amount the next 10. Remember that statistic has a couple buffers that don't apply now. We don't have Roy or Nate coaching the team.
That's correct--historical statistics can be predictive, but are by no means definitive or even normative. I'm certainly not saying that the Blazers can't win, or that there's a 90% chance of losing; my main point was that the post expressing an expectation of victory in both road games was basically asking for a letdown.
Haha that's why I love this forum. If I want a semantics argument, I'll get one. You already looked up the "meaningless" statistics, so that time is already wasted if we're going there.
