If Oden ever plays again, it should be for Portland. He owes me. Plus, Oden at 60% for 12 minutes a night, is still a force of basketball nature. I'd welcome him back gladly in a reduced minutes role.

Wanting and doing are two separate issues. The amount of damage oxen received from mainly doing non-stress related activities are reason alone. He's got something wrong there. His knees are as fragile as minny's chance for success. Just ain't gonna happen!

Picture this: Oden makes him comeback in the NEW Seattle Sonics and is dominant. Oh would we be howling with anguish!

    I like this one better:

Khan decides to go after yet another previous blazer and he comes in looking good for the rest of the season. Then he gets a nice 8-10 mil per contract for 3 years. That summer he blows his knee out playing dance dance revolution and is out for the entire season. Then he works out and looks great over the summer. Minny fans foam at the mouth and think they are contenders. His first 10 games he dominates and averages 30-15. Unfortunately on his 11th game; he goes for a rebound and both his knees burst.

He must sit out 1.5 years; which ironically is the remainder of his contract.

So what you're saying is that you want TPuppies to look EXACTLY like us? That's just wishing the exact same strife we had on someone else.

been 3 years since he played a game of basketball. when he would miss a month of time, it'd take him an extra month to get in game shape. At this rate, he'll be in game shape in 2016 or so. Don't care at all. He's not going to make an impact for a franchise any time soon. Not worried about him coming back and all of a sudden being a dominant force.

Meaningless hypothetical, since there's no chance of that happening with their salary situation.

If he signs with the Heat (as reported they seem to have the most interest and best shot) and goes on to win a ring riding Lebron's coattails then good for him.

Renouncing JJ gets us to 12M or so in cap space to sign him long-term...is it enough?

I'll say though, love him or hate him, a 70% healthy Greg Oden definitely moves the needle.
