I don't give a flying pheasant fart about the draft until we're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, and even then only as small consolation for a disappointing season.

I refuse to root to lose.

I'm not wild about banking a lotto pick on a guy with injuries to his base (feet, knees, hips) but if his bill of health comes back clean and he's head and shoulders better than the other players available when we're picking I guess it's something that Olshey should at least consider.

Frankly though, I have a hard time believing that they'd want two super young point guards on the team; that's less than ideal for both Lillard and this kid in terms of creating a hierarchy of who is the starter and who is the backup ... not to say that it couldn't happen, but I don't think that's the best tactic.

then why did you highlight the section that lists him as the most efficient PG in the rankings?

I'm an advocate for always taking the best talent available in the draft regardless of need. I'm recalling when Portland had Paxson coming off an All NBA 2nd team selection and they drafted Clyde #14. Gathering desirable assets gives you options

Their words, not mine. DX was pointing out that he's the most efficient scorer of any prospect in their database. Which is crazy considering he puts up 25 PPG.

You start him w/Lillard or you develop him as your go-to-guy off the bench. His ability to shoot off screens and spot up, he'd be a great fit with Damian.

He's an undersized 2 guard. Maybe a late 1st guy. Way 2 guards in this draft that I like better. Marcus Smart to begin with.

6'3 SG? Unless he has monkey arms like Batum, no thanks. Not a big fan of having a shrimp backcourt.

Taking a 6th man mid-late first is still a good value. Obviously if hes BPA you have to go for him. You've got a good starting unit as is, why not go for a dynamic scorer to fill in a 6th/7th spot in the rotation?

Wasn't Lillard the most efficient scorer last year?

6'3" combo guards off the bench can work out pretty well.

Indeed he was. His TS% was in the 60's as well.
