Man-boobs should move to Monte Carlo where the tennis players and race car drivers live.

Because Michael Jordan being good at basketball somehow makes Hanes more marketable?

Michael Jordan excelling at his craft enabled him to be sought after by companies for endorsement. People seem to be writing off the process to get successful and mainly focus on the jealousy of his wealth and his need to account for his own money, as if Mickleson fell ass backwards into making $50m a year.

    I'm just being a smartass.

I just find it so ironic that he's bitching so publicly about taxes. He's great at what he does. But without the general public placing a value on that skill, he'd be unknown. Without us placing a value on the products he endorses, he wouldn't be making that money. Meanwhile, the general public is struggling financially. So he's not only preaching to the choir, but he's biting the hand that feeds him, all at the same time.

And that apology? I bet he apologized because he just realized that bitching about taxes isn't going to help him win fans (or additional endorsements). So there's more cash out of his pocket.

If you were being taxed 60% of what you made, even if you made a billion dollars, you would probably explore opportunities to lower that burden.

And seriously, this is "bitching"? This is "biting the hand that feeds him"? Sounds pretty fucking level headed if you ask me. What's he supposed to say, "these higher taxes rock, I'm going to take them up the ass and enjoy it!"

He probably sits on the top 15 of all time list. I'd say that's not too bad.

I get that line of thinking from a practical standpoint, but that doesn't make it fair. Your point is that since they have plenty of money left over then the taxation becomes "fair". I'll disagree. Regardless of oncome, being taxed over 60% just isn't right.

Yeah I don't really get it man. It's easy to say that you would have no problem paying 63% of your gross on taxes when you aren't paying that amount. And it's easy to say it wouldn't be hard to pay that amount when you have x million dollars still left.

When you are being raped on your earnings, it doesn't matter what you can afford. There is nothing "acceptible" about it. And with this cat, he can still make the same amount, but be charged much less in taxes just moving out of the country. So what? He needs to be patriotic and pay his taxes because the people paying 20% say so? LMAO!

What's really ironic is that the vast majority of singers and actors that support the higher taxes garbage funnel the vast amount of their earnings thru their own out of the country production companies where they aren't taxed at all. Professional athletes don't have that option.

Common sense says, "Yes, I'm going to look to ways to save money." That's just common sense - who doesn't do that? So, I commend you for having common sense.

The dumb thing is bitching in the media. Why? What was the point? To gain sympathy from the US population? Even he acknowledged it was dumb - he came out with an apology today.

Well, yeah. I mean, he's part of the current generation of golfers, which certainly helps since pay is far more significant these days. I'd say he's probably top-5 or even top-3 (mayber top-2???). He's been around for quite some time, which is an accomplishment in and of itself. And he's won some big tourney's (after years of known for disappearing in the big moments, which is where my comment came from). He's certainly one of the better golfers of his generation.

Was actually a pretty big Mickelson fan for several years. But I became less of a fan by some of the boneheaded things he'd say over the years. And then he does it again.

What's dumb is when people paying 20% taxes to say that paying 63% of your taxes should be fine if you make millions of dollars.

What's dumb is to say that having sex with a condom is just as good as without when you've never had sex without.

What's dumb is when you think that Chevy Chase was funnier after he quit doing coke.

Ask all the people paying 63% taxes and ask them if they think it's fair.

He's paying to protect the country/world/economy that enabled him to earn that kind of money and bless you with the life that he has. I understand wanting to figure out a way to strategize to keep more money in your pocket - that's part of what this country/world/economy allows for. But to sit there and bitch - go do something about it. But don't act like the system is screwing you because you made a whole helluva lotta money through the system, so embrace it.

I laugh at such feelings of entitlement people have sometimes.

What if the government decided to tax the 47% that pay zero in taxes, 63%? What if they say, you must pay your fair share. Would they be wrong to bitch if it passed?
