Buck shouldn't be in the conversation, should be between Lucas/Wallace.

Yeah, not sure that Buck should be in the discussion now that we've had time to look back at his stats.

Was a solid role player for the team, but not best PF (as a Blazer) territory.

This city holds the 76-77 team and the team from the early 90s in an air of almost legend. We're retired so many numbers from those teams, and the teams from the 90s didn't even win anything. Pretty amazing.

Buck Williams was a vital piece of the early 90s Blazer teams. His work vs. Karl Malone was legendary. Stats obviously don't show his true worth. He wasn't a better over all player than Rasheed, but he was a better fit for his team. Maurice Lucas, however, was and is the greatest Power Forward in Blazer history. Those too young to have seen him played in his prime (or at all) don't realize what an intimidating factor he was. He was also an offensive beast, with a sweet mid-range jumpshot that he didn't have to fade away to hit. Him and Walton (and a criminally underrated Bob Gross) composed one of the most feared front lines in NBA history, and I don't think that's very homeristic of me to say.

The 1977 team (and the 1977-78 team that followed it before Walton, Lucas, and half the rest of the team got injured) deserve every accolade given.

We retired WAY too many numbers from that team.

and Brian Grants work against Karl Malone was legendary too. Doesn't mean he's in the running for best PF

I'd say LA would either have to take the team to the finals, or get his rebounding numbers up if he wants to unseat Luke for the best Blazers PF. At least that's how I see it, but I hear the game is different nowadays, so maybe Luke would suck if he played now, like I hear Walton would.

    Go Blazers
