Rivals finished their final evaluations. Pisarcik stayed the same 2 star 5.2. Either they have not evaluated him, where they don't think highly enough of him to compete in the top 135 OL candidates. Or they have evaluated him and don't think much of him, and are keeping the low rating.
what does rivals have to evaluate him on? An Oregon offer/commitment? A highlight real They've stated that no one attended one of his games. 5.2 from them is usually a white flag being waved. Personally I appreciate that more then a stab in the dark guess STOMP
A bright spot indeed! Will Devon start as a freshman or redshirt? I can see him doing Track as a freshman though. Mariota already has Huff, Dungy, and Colt in the WR. Anyone else I am perhaps missing?
Not sure. But if other reports are true about him being a wonderful blocker.. then I could see him playing some this year. He wont start though. Huff, Lowe, Hawkins, Addison, Stanford, Dungy, are all ahead of him, while guys like Kelley, Chance Allen, are probably ahead of him too. Colt is TE
I'm not going to be crushed if we lose a couple of recruits. I think Marshall will put on big time muscle this offseason and be more of a traditional power back, Tyner will come in to bring the lighting and DAT will be used in space as he should be used for the knock out punches! Wilson, Carrington and the twins can all bolt..... Stanford, Addison, Brown, Lowe, Huff, Colt, Dungy all sit in front of them anyway. Besides I think Huff, Colt, Stanford and Addison are locks to start. They've all produced and Mariota is comfortable with them. Being that I'm a defensive guy, I'd like to spend some time developing our LB chore with this class and finding a kick ass DE that can Dion Jordan for a couple years to go along with my BIG NASTY STARTERS, AA and BUCKNER!
The Twins are our current defensive power players one at S one at LB. Tyrell is in fact our highest ranked LB commit. Tyrell Mattingly Walker Losing Tyrell would be the opposite of developing our LB core, that and that we have no highly ranked LB targets left. All the remainders seem to be projects and 3 stars. DE we are pretty stacked, until we need to blur it into the DT position.
Oregon OL target Porter did not make it in for an official visit, not sure if he can reschedule or not.
Texas QB and recent Utah St. commit Damion Hobbs is in Eugene on an official this weekend STOMP
Wasn't Max Unger a 2 star and now he's a Pro Bowl Center? Also, I think we may land Oser, unless we have our sites set on another OL. Also, whats the status on Juwann Williams and Cunningham?
Juwann will announce tomorrow and is supposed to be down to Vandy and UO What I'm hearing on Cunningham is more drawn out/speculative. He'd probably prefer to stay close to home and go with Auburn, but they're down to 1 LB spot left and may prefer someone else. It may be down to Oregon and Tennessee STOMP
Oser is all stanford, Brenner/Pisarick took his place since both project at possibly center. Big target left is Hunt, sadly Porter missed his official, not sure if we can schedule him he was the other big target.
We managed to get Pisarick? Hunt did enjoy Oregon, so hopefully we can nab him. Michigan is stacked at OL anyway.
Dontre is snowed/iced in at the airport in Ohio. Maybe weather will finally be an issue for a school other than us and maybe help us.
Ah. So whats the situation on Nic Purcell going? Can we accept him? Also, we don't need Damoin Hobbs. We have 2 QBs behind Mariota already. Besides, I'm going to Utah State, I want Hobbs :V
After being positive in the face of all the other mods on 247 saying Dontre to Ohio state, the DT247 mods now aaying 50/50 considering the former optimism I woukd consider yhis a major step back in the odds we keep him.
