    The sad part is I hope Leonard can reach the level Drummond is currently at

    Problem is Leonard isn't a physically imposing player

    True, if we had Drummond we wouldn't even need him to be more than he is this year, his ROOKIE year.

    Leonard is a fantastic athlete, but he's got a loooooong way to go before he figures out how to play inside with NBA bigs.

    I was somewhat ridiculed for saying that Drummond would start on opening night if he was drafted by any team in need of a center. Obviously, that's the last thing Detroit needed, but he's sure making me look like I knew what I was talking about. That and Lillard being a strong #2 prospect behind Anthony Davis. Aside from questions about Drummond's motor, he has all the physical tools that made Oden a can't-miss #1. Ironically, Oden had some of the same questions about his motor. It makes me think the main reason Drummond was passed over was because of the still-too-fresh-in-memory sting of Oden.

    Which is probably one of the main reason's POR specifically passed on him (that and the pesky fact that we needed a PG badly!).

    If we were not POR and didn't have the Oden experience he would have had a better shot of landing here.

    Big difference between the two is the fact Oden looked dominant in college and Drummond looked lost.

    This whole Drummand thing has got me thinking. They already have a decent Center who is starting but has a much lower ceiling than Drummand. You think they would jump on this?

    Then we could retain Hickson this off-season, be over cap and still have Max MLE (Being over cap) to offer JJ reddick 5-6 million.

    I think Leonard could play back up Power forward/C for them.

    I'll admit Drummond's surprised me. I thought he'd be good, but it would take him years to get there.
