    same Thorpe article:

Whatever though, he's definitely a liability for the Wolves right now for sure.

While all those AS PG's had to learn to shoot better..... They started at a level that Rubio can barely dream of even reaching as a shooter. That's just how terrible his shot is. It's not a good thing when people could say (upon potential shooting improvement), "Rubio is shooting 38% - he's really improved that aspect of his game."

I doubt he'll ever elevate his shooting to "great" or even "good" but he might get to so-so some day.

His TO's get him pulled in a game they're going to lose? Yikes.

That's a coach admitting he just ain't getting work done properly.

That's the thing though -- Rubio makes Andre Miller look like Steve Kerr.

Truly an atrocious shooter and he compounds this by not being able to finish at the rim.

Scoring/shooting, he's A LOT worse than Sergio was.

I just want to see what he looks like when he's fully back from the ACL. Maybe it never works out and he can never improve his shooting form/consistency enough? It's not a big deal, I don't have any emotional investment in him succeeding or failing ... beyond him sucking helps the Blazers in division play.

None of this came out of nowhere. He was atrocious before the injury shooting/scoring the ball.

True. Like I said he has to be able to elevate his shooting/scoring to "passable" or the rest of his skills are basically useless for a starting point guard.

Andre Miller is an NBA afterthought who has never even led a team to a playoff win as the PG. Skilled player? Yep. Flawed player? Yep.

So why is he playing if he isn't fully back from the ACL? Seems like Minnesota is deliberately playing an injured player, if you are to be believed. :dunno:

Have you ever torn your ACL? Speaking from personal experience I know it can take a helluva long time to get back to a full range of motion, strength and confidence in the injured knee - sometimes up to a year and half. In the meantime, he's not really risking injury playing on it, he just looks like shit until he's fully regained whatever he's lost ... and hell, he may never get back to place where he can hang athletically in the NBA.
