Still crazy watching Dame run the show when you stop and think that he's only played half a season of pro ball. His ultra aggressive 3rd quarter is what won us this game.

I honestly forget sometimes when watching that he's just a rookie.

Lotta love from the Jazz announcers for Lillard -- sounded genuine too, loved his poise.

Crazy to think that a year ago from this weekend he was playing against Portland State in the Big Sky Conference

Don't think of him as your rival, HCP. Just offer him $50 an hour for lessons.

Who, Mr. Pinwheel? Not at all. Different industry, same passion for the Blazers. I've said before that I used to be an post production editor, but moved into LIVE TV. What we do is totally different. I do enjoy his work but I wouldn't consider us rivals at all.

You think I'm talking about video skills? So get your lessons started before he wants $60 an hour.

Prob weakest game thread all year considering Blazers won.

But have to admit it was a very ho hum game. Infact it was almost jazz summer league roster and our bench. Nolan Smith had his career night I'm assuming. But least we won. This next road trip makes or breaks our season. 3-3 would be great. With wins vs Minny, Orlando, and maybe Hornets or Rockets? Finding three wins is very hard.

    his his
It's also crazy to think that he has improved even within this season and I have no doubt that he's going to be even better next year and in the years to come. He is on track to go from great to special.

SOME on here think he is getting worse as the season goes along and didn't deserve this months Rookie of the Month award!

That would be me. Still shoots tons of threes and needs to drive more. Can't teach his composure. But I don't want him turning into a 30 ft 3 point shooter. Could end up being his crutch.

Also I don't think he will ever be on Roy's level. Blazers biggest thing right now is to get LA resigned in next two years. Then we have a chance at a very good core.

Roy was my favorite blazer but Lillard is on track to be even better than Roy. He is multi dimensional and the offense runs more smoothly with him on the floor. Roy's constant iso offense made him very special; but it was usually at the cost if other players like batum and Aldridge that need the ball in their hands to get into the groove.

Many want Lillard to iso more; but I like how he gets his teammates involved first. Sometimes it doesn't work; but most of the time it helps our teams confidence going into the 4th quarter. There is a reason why this team has so many double digit behind comebacks. It mainly comes from Lillards poise.

Probably because the posts would be redundant of what we have said after almost every game.

Barton is inconsistent like most rookies, but shows he has potential.

Lillard is unlike most rookies in that he is fucking awesome.

Nolan is a much better SG than PG.

Hickson would be an unbelievable 6th man. (But unfortunately will will get paid too much next year for us to keep him, plus the fact it will take him a few more years to realize that is his best role.

Oh and we need a defensive force in the middle.

Who was the guy in Nolan's jersey last night who looked like a passable NBA player? :dunno:

A few of us have said this, but Nolan is not a PG. Put him in with a PG, and he could be a decent 8th guy
