I think one of the factors in Lillard's success has been his great conditioning. The guy NEVER seems to get tired. You never see him gasping for air, or bent over clutching his shorts--he looks as fresh at the end of games as he does at the beginning. I really think this is key for him, and one of the reasons why he usually plays so well in the fourth quarter, when everyone else is dragging.
That was one of the big things that sold me in his workout videos. The guy never got tired. His shot never looked short from fatigue. Same stroke every time. That not only takes physical endurance but mental fortitude.
Maybe the.most athletically gifted, but I have seen.more.than once him look over to.the.bench.begging for a.breather.
Lillard conserves a humongous amount of energy by not smiling during interviews. He stands there like a bump on a log and robotically answers questions. Meanwhile his cells are regenerating serum to power his next game.
