OT: Sort of

Here in Houston the CSN fiasco has reared it's ugly head as in Portland. The Rockets, Astros and wanna be professional sports team the Dynamo all play on CSN.

I was wondering if the Blazers have been doing what the teams here have been doing. During any sporting event...it seems, players present and past from all the teams are pleading with fans to call and demand action. It seems pretty successful because that's all anyone talks about in offices and what not.

Just curious what the Blazers do?

 

Blazers do NOTHING! well almost nothing, the last President made one or two statements. Behind closed doors, I think the staff think it's a unfair deal for fans, but they don't say anything because they are getting PAID!

 

I seem to recall in the early days there was a "campaign" of sorts to make calls to demand that a deal be struck between Comcrap and the satellites - but it seemed to be a ploy to get the fans to do CSN's work for them, trying to make the fans sell Dish/Direct on the idea of paying too much for too little.

 

Count their money, I guess. For the fans, they do nothing.

 

That's how I remember it too. There was an early campaign by CSN get the fans to put pressure on the satellite companies to give in to Comsuck's demands. But I guess you just said that. Is there an echo in here?

We're more than halfway done on the Comcast contract and it's still messed up. Good luck Houston fans.

 

Kind of unrelated, but did anyone see someone on twitter asking the new president about the Comcast and dishes situation about a week ago? He said he would have an update about it in several weeks, someone needs to hold him to that.

I gave up hope on this long ago, but it would be nice to see if someone new could make a difference after Larry Miller doing nothing for years.
