No argument from me, it was pretty one sided and definitely contributed to the evaporation of the lead.

We kind of throw shit at the wall and see what sticks. There seems to be little discipline and the players just do whatever they feel like. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I guess people are happy it's not Nate ball though. It's more fun to watch when we are hitting our 3s.

It's not that they don't run plays, it's that they run the same plays that keep failing. I can't count the number of times they try to set a pick for Damian when he's WAY out on the perimeter and I always hold my breath because the other team will always trap Damian which usually leads to a turnover or a forced shot at the buzzer.

Here comes the contrarian, but I agree that bad play also factored in, and Lillard looked skittish because of foul trouble.

Bad calls can take away your momentum and give it to the trailing team.

It's a mental makeup thing with some people. LMA strikes me as a guy who does fine when it's all instant reaction and he doesn't have time to think about stuff, but put him in a position where can do nothing but think about it and he's kind of a choker; not everybody has ice-water in the their veins (difference between Lebron and Kobe for a long time too).

I think Stotts should have taken a technical at some point early in the 3rd quarter. Light up a ref to make a point.

Were you watching the game? The Blazers would have been up 30 at one point of the refs called it fairly the entire game.

For sure, but why is it such a sore point to say that the Blazers have to own their play down the stretch?

Fuck it, they won, move on.

Yes they need to protect leads. Just officiating so blatant like that is ridiculous. How can they even think they called it fairly?

It's not like the Blazers' offense was bad in the fourth--23 points in the quarter, and would have been 26 without the FT choking. The comeback was due to Minny putting up 40 in that same span. Are you saying that the officiating was not the primary contributor to the deficient defense that allowed such a performance?

Could be. I just know I am frustrated by their offense. Everything is out on the perimeter. Teams just send multiple players out to bump Lillard away from the basket. Shotts needs another game plan. And maybe some more inbound plays too. And don't get me started on their D.

I realize there is more to it than coaching, but you guys would be going ape shit on McMillian right now.

Absolutely agree. I hated that Nate never did and I am Pissed Terry is doing the same.

One year, can't remember which it was, but late in his tenure, Nate was #2 in the league in technicals for coaches, and people were still complaining about him never taking one. Could be that, really, NO coach does.

OK forget taking the T, but get in their face and talk to them.

Seemed like he was up and yelling quite a bit at them.

Stotts was complaining the entire game. Most coaches complain. Just because the cameras don't show it doesn't mean it's not happening.

we won by two points. Was a 1 point game at one point. So really, people wanted a tie game, with him giving up the T? Anyone got any data to show how often refs ease up on bad calls after a coach says something to deserve a tech?
