Yeah, like I said not saying he won't be a duck, but it is not a quack yet.

Still with how it has been going with Dontre and the twins recently I wonder how much a commit means.

not just recently my friend. I've been following recruiting closely for going on 6 or 7 years, and I've seen locks for Oregon go elsewhere, and ones come out of nowhere go to Oregon. I try to just enjoy the ride.

Yeah, Tosh and Urban have been shipping for those 3 hard. I hope we don't lose them and keep Hunt. Did Helfrich already visit the twins and Wilson?

If he doesn't want to be a duck fine, but us thinking we were solid on him caused us to stop going after other targets. Green, Kamara ect.

fair enough, but him being solid to UO was, I assume, to another Head Coach. IMO it works both ways. I wish him well in any instance that doesnt hurt us.

    Dontre Wilson is a Buckeye.

Funny thing is he said "The University of Ohio State" in his announcement instead of "THE Ohio State University".

I predict he'll be transferring within a few years.

    :rolleyes2:

its funny to me that so many who follow recruiting pretend they actually know whats going on. Tell me swami, how many times did Oregon call/text/email Green & Kamari after Dontre gave his verbal to Oregon?

Dontre and his media driven father are truly classy people! He doesn't de-commit from the Ducks first, and then he announces he's a Buckeye before even calling the Oregon staff and saying thank you for the offer! His dad leaked to the press that his son was going to the Buckeyes a day before he even announced.

Urban Meyer is just the kind of shit weasel who would appreciate a class act kid like this!

Dontre knew for weeks that he was going to jump ship, so why did he wait? He did however call out Chip for causing his flip! Chip caused us Wilson we know that, but Wilson waited as long as possible so our program would be hurt by not having his spot filled.

So congrats, Oregon pays the price for two monster egos bigger than the Ducks!

I for one am glad we are done with Wilson and Chip!

Eh lots of times i'm sure. But it was reported they canceled that LB's visit when they Offered Ragin (who some thought was silent)

Turns out Johnny Ragin Sticks with Cal. Ragin isn't going to Oregon because of lack of late attention.

you aren't making sense. My response was to your claim that Oregon had settled on DW so (according to you) ..."us thinking we were solid on him caused us to stop going after other targets. Green, Kamara ect". One post later you're claiming that (you're sure) they didn't stop going after said targets... and then you bring up a non-sequitor about Linebackers.

again, none of us are in the know... why play pretend?

you are right we contacted the RB's. But in the RB's own words we stopped persuing them. Green at the AA game.

The LB situation was a direct situation where we pulled a visit because we thought we would get a player that did not pull through.

You don't see teams like Alabama back down on players until signing day.

I'm sore about Wilson leaving too, but don't get all too butthurt over this.

Buckeyes under Meyer are nowhere near as strong as the Gators under his tutelage. Not that many big bodies because lolnotSEC.

MSU and Michigan will give him fits for us. Besides, I like the Wolverines, and seeing Green run rupshod over the Buckeyes while Wilson will get hammered by Pipkins and Poggi will bring me smiles.

Besides, we have a power back from Arizona and Oregon knows how to maximize players into stars. And next year we'll hit even harder.

Notice a trend? Chip Kelly doesn't really give a damn about recruiting. Helfrich does and that will help big time

    Edit: SPEAKING OF ALABAMA

    They just got Reuben Foster.

Saban is really painting this Dragon mentality about him. Dragons hoard all the gold and wealth until a knight comes along and slays him.

Also, they always send offers to any and all players(as does Ole Miss) Oregon is a bit picky.

I figure best we can do is Keept he Twins. Land Hunt, Prevot, Cunningham. Get Purcell if NCAA clears him. Worse would Lose the Twins and only sign Hunt. I suspect somewhere inbetween. But it scares me that the Only get Hunt and lose the twins is the most likely of those two scenarios.
