You provided no such links. What you did show was that Jericho had its walls rebuilt - and they were rebuilt many times. None near the time of Joshua.

How about we pick an easy one. 6000 years is the wrong age of the earth, and the bible got the Big Bang wrong. That's page 1!

    LOL

Based upon which conclusive test, Denny? Speculation, speculation. It's all speculation.

The earth is certainly older than 6000 years. There were thriving civilizations that were around 6,000 years ago, including the egyptians and mesopotamians. There were thriving civilizations around 7000 years ago, plenty old enough to prove 6000 years is the wrong age of the earth.

When, exactly, do you think the mesopotamian civilization existed?

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world the Mesopatamians existed.

Oh and if you want the wiki answer, here it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho

    Bronze age
Archaeological evidence indicates that in the latter half of the Middle Bronze Age (circa 1700 BC) the city enjoyed some prosperity, its walls having been strengthened and expanded.[21] According to carbon dating the Canaanite city (Jericho City IV) was destroyed between 1617 and 1530 BC.[22] The site remained uninhabited until the city was refounded in the 9th century BC.[citation needed]

Bullshit i didnt. I even used your beloved wikipedia and it gave the same timeline of the bible account. It even referenced the biblical account. So you want to change the subject on your clearly inaccurate statement about the age of he earth? Lol denny you are silly man!

Truthfully? It's all fairly insignificant to me. As I mentioned many times in this thread, I believe the Bible in its entirety. That's all that really matters to me. Really, trying to figure out when events "actually" happened is relatively insignificant as far as I'm concerened.

People can argue the hows, whens, and whys, but, to me, it all ends in futility. I'm far more focused on Christ's directives for me....today....and I aim to follow them the best that I can..

    Read your own link?

The first scientific investigation of the site of Jericho was carried out by Charles Warren in 1868, but amounted to no more than a site-survey (Warren's prime interest was in establishing the modern equivalents of Biblical locales). In 1907-09 and again in 1911 digging was carried out by two German archaeologists, Carl Watzinger and Ernest Sellin. Watzinger and Sellin believed that they would be able to validate the Biblical story of Jericho's destruction by Joshua and the Israelites, but concluded instead that the city was unoccupied at the generally-accepted time of Joshua, ca. 1400 B.C.

Kenyon reported that her work showed Garstang to have been wrong and the Germans right - Jericho had been deserted at the accepted Biblical date of the Conquest.

In 1995, Kenyon's result was corroborated by radiocarbon tests which dated test samples taken from the site to 1562 BCE (plus/minus 38 years) with a certainty of 95%.[5] The specific charcoal sample Wood referenced in his proposition was found to be in error and corrected to 1590 or 1527 +/- 110 BCE[6]

1590 or 1527 +/- 110 BCE. Do you know what -110 from 1590 is? Joshuas reign was 1,400 BC.

Thanks for at least acknowledging this time. So how bout them other gems? Do you want to argue the age of earth?

Oh and how did the bible get the big bang wrong? You are aware that a being that is not bound by matter, space and time could create the universe in 1 day right? It maybe billions of years to us, but to him it really isnt relevant.

Hell the earth being created in 1 day to God could mean billions of years too. You think god is some gray haired old man sitting in some cloud. He is outside of this universe. But of course, you just cant look past the trees, just like you said there is no such thing as nothingness and you believe matter can be eternal.

This is one of the things that makes me truly sad about the human race. You're a slave.

Being a Christian is more about being free for me. A true slave is bound by the necessities of this world. Many talk about brain washed Christians; but the true reality is we are a brainwashed society.

Do you truly think that living in America is true freedom? Tell that to all those that can't afford to live comfortably.

It doesn't matter. They don't care.
