    The Pacers would wax them.

    The Heat.

    The Bulls.

The Knicks would run circles around them.

The 76ers with a healthy Bynum would make it interesting.

The offensive flow of that team would be miserable... Josh Smith doesn't exactly spread the floor with his sub 30% outside shooting, or his piss poor FT shooting in crunch time. He'd like to drive and create which wouldn't work too well with Howard and Horford both trying to operate in the paint while Josh Smith is trying to slash in there as well. There was a reason Mike Woodson told J Smith to not settle for outside shots all the time and the entire Hawks arena was booing him when he did...

Still curious about Portland playing with the offer for Bynum. It's a huge risk, but if that kid was healthy, we would be in a perfect position to contend. Still I have big big doubts this kid will ever be healthy.

I don't think Smith would leave if he saw promise in the teams future.

We will agree to disagree on this. It isn't so much that ATL is great just that they would be better than DAL. Probably doesn't matter anyways. Howard will most likely be in LA or Brooklyn.

    Is that true?

He also messed up on the cap room. Portland will have close to 15-16 million

depends on if we make or not make the playoffs. There is nothing set in stone. We may even retain Babbitt too.

I don't think that is true regarding Hickson but you would think they know more than I.

And the reason the cap room discrepancy is I believe they can't make assumptions on who we are going to bring back and who not plus they don't want to make assumptions that the cap will go up. Olshey always says 12.5-13.5 when asked.

it's because he can only go by what is. It's estimated that the new cap will be 60 million, but it's 57 million now. Basically it's right with this exception right?

Assuming everyone agrees to a trade and agrees to sign as a FA, which team is better long term?

    Lillard
    Matthews
    Batum
    Aldridge
    Jefferson or Pekovic
    No real upgradesin depth

    Lillard
    Matthews
    Batum
    Milsap
    B Lopez
Also have additional money for a player like Evans

    Lillard
    Evans
    Batum
    Aldridge
    Kaman
added a bit more depth with medial players

C for a year or 2 (until Kaman really falls off). Then B for a year or 2. How would we not have money on bench in A though?

    Hypothetical enough for you? :)

How is this possible? I assume Aldridge will be involved in this deal; which is 14 mil. So he is basically the equal trade for Lopez. What do you expect Millsap to demand?

I want to see more legit rumors in this thread instead of a bunch of fantasy dream trades.

Just bored. I would think he will sign for 10-11 per. Giving us an additional 5-6 mm

Well the latest is from Mark Stein, saying Hawks are interested in Monta Ellis for Smith.

Hawks play the Heat at home tomorrow night. I'm curious to see how much Smith plays.

    A, with Jefferson.

Lopez a little bit better than Jefferson, but his rebounding numbers are underwhelming and I'm still not sold on it being purely him, and not playing with Deron/JJ.
