Even a trade for the sake of trading?

The Houston Rockets continue to make moves that improve their chances of acquiring Dwight Howard, according to a source.

The Rockets realize that the Lakers will not trade Howard ahead of the deadline, but his future with the franchise as a free agent is clearly uncertain.

The Rockets continue to clear cap room in hope of becoming an attractive alternative for Howard, especially given the success of James Harden.

Houston traded away Marcus Morris while also acquiring Thomas Robinson on Wednesday.

The San Antonio Spurs have joined the long list of teams interested in J.J. Redick.

The Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers and Boston Celtics have also been linked to Redick.

Redick will be a free agent this offseason and the Orlando Magic are seeking a first round pick for him.

Can you give links to these quotes? I want to be able to read the whole content and also decide whether the writer is a hack or not.

I would love to take a flier on Beaubious. He could be a really fun player behind Damian, just a killer fast break squad with Nic basically running the offense.

Damian running the show w/Wes - 30 minutes
Damian running the show w/Beaubious - 6 minutes
    Beaubious running a fast break squad w/Batum manning point-forward - 12 minutes.

It could be a fun low-risk gamble to try out this season to see if it works.

One of the few threads I've ever started! He hasn't set the world on fire, but I still think he has room to improve, he just has to be consistent. I would love to trade Hickson for Wright and Beaubois.

If JJ agreed, trading Hickson to Dalllas for Wright and Beaubois would be awesome. If Wright played well we'd have his Bird rights and a lot lower cap hold than JJ

It would not be a horrible move. Wright always seems to play well against us. But he is a little injury prone and he still has yet to put on any weight. To be honest I think Freeland can be just as good as a back up PF.

As far a Beaubois is concerned, he may be better than what we have, but when I watched a Dallas game earlier this year the announcers mentioned he has struggled as a playmaker. Thus his lack of minutes. But he is kind of fun to watch

Lakers offering Steve Blake, Chris Duhon, Devin Ebanks, Darius Morris for 2nd-rounders, sources say. Looking to unload, free roster spots.

Pacers pushing guard D.J. Augustin. Warriors still trying to unload bench players to get out of luxury tax. Heat offering Dexter Pittman.

Seems like there are a lot of middle-of-the-road players available, but it would hurt our cap space.

Portland's effort to find a first-round pick for J.J. Hickson "doesn't look good right now," league source says.

This reminds me a lot of desperately looking for a first for Crawford last season. My one concern, and I do want to preserve cap space, but there were rumors that we could have had Bledsoe for Crawford, but would have taken on more salary, Gomes? Can't reemember. And of course, that cut into our cap space. Could have all just been false rumors, but if we have the chance to move JJ for a talented young player, but it hurts a little of our cap space, I hope we'd take the young asset over a little more space.

If we cant find a good deal for Hickson, we will obviously keep him and let him walk at the end of the season if we cant resign him for a good price. Of course, the ____ on the board will be pissed off because we didnt make a trade regardless of what it was and what financial impact it has.

Milwaukee would be interesting if they found a way to land Smith and Reddick. Doubtful they make it by the Heat still, obviously, but could make a little noise in the East.

I've pretty much had zero hope for trading him since I found out his bird rights didn't transfer. Why would a team want a guy that they will have no advantage in re-signing this summer? I think he would have already been dealt if his bird rights transferred.
