Cool. I figured I must have been wrong since teams don't cut players with guaranteed multi-year money too often.

Oh really? Pav and Jeffries have team options for years 2 and 3? If so that's great - I thought we were stuck with them at least through next season.

Price or Smith........... makes no difference for next year. This year with Wes being injured though, Smith can help out at SG too.

Nope. Both will be gone due to cut or trade at the draft.

Personally, I think he is our most valuable bench player and cheap. He just needs to work on his shooting and finishing aroudn the rim. His defense and court awareness is pretty damn good, IMO.

I maybe in the minority; but I think he and hickson maybe packaged to pick up a starting caliber center this summer.

We could use left over cap to find a back-up PF/C (5-6 million).

It is funny, and Mike and Mike have commented on this, he has a nice looking shot, just isn't going down. Like you said, just keep practicing that shot everyday.

Yeah every shot I've seen him take looks good; but just hits the rim.

I think both Claver and Freeland still have a chance at a good future with us. This depends on what kind of studs we bring in on the bench though.

Agree, and they both need to work their asses off this offseason to improve.

Apparently, no one will trade a 1st rounder for Hickson. If this is indeed the case I find it to be very good news since this should increase the blazers leverage allowing us to keep him on the (relatively) cheap.

Outside of Myers Leonard, Freeland was statically our best bench guy. So he sucks but he is one of the better of the sucks.

Actually, it's a bit of redemption for our front office. I've been annoyed for years that we didn't bring over our Eurostashes (especially the PG), but now I can see why we didn't.

Or maybe teams don't want to give up anything if they think they can just get him this summer anyway.
