Dude, your link doesn't work but I find it hilarious that you UPS drivers have your own internet forum.

Thats Fedex the non-union cheap labor guys.

Our supervisors follow us around in their own cars too much to pull stuff like that.

They want to make sure you're not sitting in some parking lot drinking and getting stoned, too.

Union or not, both UPS and Fedex seem to think its ok to leave packages in a public parking garage in downtown San Diego or leave a notice on the elevator of the same parking garage. I guess your supervisors don't follow them into the garage to see if they actually deliver the packages.

Its not 1 driver. It was multiple drivers with both companies. UPS being union made no difference in their service level, as you claim. The main guy had a key. He got sick and we didn't receive any packages for 3 or 4 months (maybe more). Drivers either would put a notice on the elevator on the ground level (again, of a downtown public garage) or I would get an email saying it was left at my front door (which again, is the garage) only to find nothing there. I think 3 or 4 packages were left for us that we never got and last month our neighbor luckily found our coffee grinder just sitting out in the garage.

Both companies have sucked. At least with Fed Ex, they'd call us some of the times and I'd come meet the guy. I tried to get UPS to call me and was told it wasn't allowed.

I don't know how they do things down in San Diego but we aren't trained to leave packages in parking garages. Any kind of apartment is signature required unless its in a locked building. Sometimes its frustrating when someone orders shit on a regular basis, yet never makes themselves available to get their shit. I suggest you seek out your UPS driver and work out some kind of arrangement so you can get your packages instead of playing cat and mouse. You talk to your driver and they can make a 'notes' in the diad so they know how to get a hold of you and it also helps out other drivers.

As for Fedex having better service than us, that is laughable by just about any company that has had a contract with UPS and Fedex. Most companies that ship bulk that go to Fedex come pleading to go back to UPS within a couple months and UPS is more expensive.
