Not only did you just move down in my S2 poster rankings with this clown post....... you lost street cred!
The thing is it doesn't matter what 10 PFs that people list. No one is every going to agree on a list. That goes whether you had LMA in there or not.
I know you dislike lma but with that list your pretty much saying ANY starting PF you'd in this league youd rather have. That's just flat our nuts. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I'm not saying he deserves or doesn't deserve that money... that's something ya'll would know more about, but I don't like it when the top average salaries dictate the market prices for these guys, because a lot of those players don't deserve those figures either, whereas a lot of guys are paid way less than what they're worth. I mean, compared to Joe Johnson, every player in the league is underpaid. As for the whole "name ten better PF's" thing, ... is being a top 10 PF really the low-end requirement for your (pre-Lillard) franchise player?
I'm kidding about half those guys. The guys I'd realistically take over Aldridge for what they can do now and what they are capable of in the future: Griffin and Aldridge are a wash to me. But, I do like Horford, Lee, Love (when healthy), Monroe, Dirk, Duncan and probably even Bosh over Aldridge. Aldridge is good, but is overrated by our fanbase. He's a glorified jump shooter who prefers fadeaways instead of using his length. A good 2nd or 3rd option. Not this saint that everybody thinks he is. I'm not the only one who thinks this.
That was in your acid dreams. I have NEVER repped you. Until tonight it was Maris and Maxiep 2 years ago, and one person I forget over a year ago. But keep trying and I'll consider it! Yeah right.
Notice how Aldridge lacks the coordination to react to loose balls, rebounds, long passes to him while he's running, and short close passes to him from nearby? While Hickson whizzes in a beeline to grab the ball midair in all 4 of those situations? Aldridge stands still, straight up like a statue, and he's so tall that sometimes he actually catches a pass or rebound. Aldridge has the coordination of a center. Hickson shows us what a natural forward is and makes Aldridge look like a sleepy bear. Why isn't Aldridge criticized for refusing to play center?
Alright - glad I could help spread the use of the word. It's a great one - especially given the sorts of conversations that go on in here. Hyperbole reins supreme!
Aldridge is "fine." He's good player and he probably makes about as much money as he "deserves." Will he ever be the key guy that leads the Blazers to a championship? I sort of doubt that. Could he be the second or third best player on a championship team? Perhaps. I'm just not getting the ultra passionate debate.
