Well, as I just said in another thread... if LeMarcus can't acknowledge that Lillard is the best player on the team, he will NEED to be traded. You probably listened to the recent discussion on truehoop that the best players exert the extra energy needed to win in the 4th quarter. LMA can't really do that, Lillard can.
But what exactly is "equal value" for a player? The same stats? The same star quality? All-Star appearances? I think trading Aldridge to get back talent at positions of need is equal value. My example of Sanders, Redick, and a signed Jefferson or Milsap is equal value in my opinion.
But you can't for the sake of discussion just say and signing these people like it's a guarantee. The trade is Sanders and cap space. Not the guarantee of others. Sanders and cap space.
Do any of those players command a double team? My problem with Trade Assumptions is that there are so many moving variables it's almost unrealistic to propose them
