    I love it! Go Hawks!
NFC West was a joke a few years ago... now its lookin' to be one of the toughest divisions in the NFL.

NFC West should be a dogfight! Can't wait to see it unfold.

The Patriots are listed much too high. "Danny Amendola for Wes Welker is an upgrade as long as the former Rams slot receiver can stay healthy." (Hensley) WHAT? Patriots also lost Chung, and Lloyd among others.

Ravens are also too high with all their loses.

Ummm.... we haven't even had the draft yet. Little early to be releasing power rankings.

I'm not addressing anything but that Brady is going to make Amendola a star if he stays healthy. Not likely to be better than Welker though.

Yeah. Who, can anyone remind me which team was better last year and went further in the playoffs? And as Nate says, we haven't even gotten to the draft.

Oh, and then beyond that...... there's a little thing called "playing the game". As a SF Giants fan, I understand this. I mean, we've been written off yet won 2 of 3 WS. The Dodgers make the trade that will win them the 2012 WS? No worries - that's just when the Giants ran away with things.

But go on Hawks fans. You guys are good at talking. It's what you did while the Niners were playing in the NFC Championship and Super Bowl.

But but but....we're a week into free agency and the Seahawks signed Harvin!

Free agency officially over. Shut it down. Nobody else can top what has been done.

Actually, they traded for Harvin (then worked out a new contract). But the overall point is the same.

    Harvin/Avril/Bennett

3 great additions for Seattle. Now it's time for what Seattle does best, and that's drafting players.

Great signings. Free agency isn't over though. I guess ESPN has to fill space with something though.

I cringe every time I see this stuff about teams I root for. It's always the build up that makes the eventual fall that much more painful. How many teams that have been this hyped this early have gone on to win the Super Bowl? I can't imagine very many. Let's not forget what happened the last time the Hawks went to the SB. They got screwed worse than Sacramento in Game 6.

Not sure what the big deal is. If the season started today Seattle is the favorites because they have made great additions while the niners have lost goldson, moss, walker, francois, sopoaga etc. they got boldin and signed Dahl. Its a no brainer today. Obviously things could change after the draft if the niners draft well.

Goldson and Walker are the two losses that will impact the Niners, but the Niners have so many draft picks. I expect they'll make trades to fill in the holes and/draft wisely. Francois was a backup (mostly to Sopoaga), but I expect guys behind them to step up now. Obviously, the Seahawks have had the better offseason. But the end performance shows which teams was ahead of the other heading into the offseason. So calling one the favorite at this moment is a lot of conjecture.

Sure, but on paper the hawks look better today. You guys looked better on papee than the ravens and lost. Thats why they play the games. But on p aper, its the Seahawks as of today. After the draft it definitely could change

That's some conjecture. But the overall main point of your post... exactly what I said in post #6 of this thread. Games are played for a reason.

Shit, even if the Blazers (as an example) had the exact same team next year as this year..... most national analysts IMO would predict the 2013-14 season to be similar to 2012-13. But if you know the team, the potential, where they can grow, where they will grow..... I'm comfortable and confident in my Blazers for next season. Same for the Niners.

Fine, and as a fan you have that right. I dont care about either team. I like harvin, lynch, browner etc and Davis, kaepernick. But id rather have the Seahawks roster today than the niners today (could change after draft).

A little ot, but how the hell are my raiders not 32?

Because they got rid of Heyward-Bey, so they've slightly improved.

Though, I'm a little surprised they're ahead of the Jets. I'd have had them at #31.

I'm just happy the Niners found someone to replace Akers. Phil Dawson had to be the best K on the market. If we had a decent kicker last year, we win at least 2 more games, and likely 3.
