Exactly!!!! Aldridge has publicly said how much of a asset Lillard is. There is no whining, bitching or even Aldridge refusing to give Lillard the ball.

In fact, I've seen Aldridge pass out of doubles more than Duncan; whom is considered a great facilitator big man. He is a team player

Aldridge is too classy to speak publicly if he was unhappy with his role. I just think he waited a while to take over the team, and here comes Lillard. Do we know for sure this doesn't bother him?

It should also be pointed out that having two separate legit end-of-game closer options is actually a good thing. Both need opportunities in those situations to further develop confidence in that spot. How many teams have both an inside and an outside option that MUST be given full attention in late-game situations? IMO, that's going to be a big advantage if we develop into a contender.

I don't understand your angle man. Saying he's upset is just as hypothetical. It seems your hypothetical argument is Aldridge is upset that Lillard will be batman.

There is no proof that would suggest Aldridge is upset. In fact there is more proof that he welcomes the help.

I asked if there would be friction when Lillard takes over as "the man". I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that there could be friction, but who knows. You guys are too sensitive about Aldridge.

No I understand your concern. In just reiterating that it looks good so far. Publicly he's been very supportive; plus the play and physical eye test shows no sign of what you suggest.

Sensitive? No, it's the same people saying the same hypothetical negative things that bring a defense. He's playing well right now. I don't get why there would any complaints.

In 2007, Roy was 23 and LA was 22. LA is now 27 and Lillard is 22. Just pointing out there's a slight difference.

It's style of play though. Roy and Lillard are guards that can break someone down and create their own shot.

I have never liked the idea of backing someone down for a fadeaway jumpshot to win a game. It has worked, not saying it hasn't, but I like Lillard creating his own shot, or maybe running a pick and pop. I don't like backing someone down and taking a fadeaway.

Aldridge is getting his $$$. I doubt he cares too much who wants to be the man. He's already referenced Damian as a cold blooded assassin. That's not verbatim, but it's close to what he said.

Wait a sec. On one hand we have people complaining that LaMarcus isn't enough of an alpha dog type, and lacks the desire to become more of an alpha dog type. On the other hand, we have people complaining that LaMarcus won't be willing to surrender the alpha dog position, because he's too much of an alpha dog type?

If I had a third hand, the palm of it would be firmly planted on my face...

Who exactly said that Aldridge wouldn't be willing to surrender his position?

Replace "complaining that Lamarcus won't" with "who fear Lamarcus may not"
